The last time there was an international break we all felt it was at the wrong time with the team being in great form.....pretty sure we are all in agreement that the opposite is true this time around with the break coming at a time when the squad needed to take a breath and re-boot.

Traveling to Oakwell the home of 10th place Barnsley where the Tykes have been a tough squad with a +6 GD in 5 matches (3 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss). That said Fulham is undefeated in 5 road matches with a +2 GD (hard to fathom that with that stellar of an away record the club is in 14th). Fulham is desperate for a positive result, and let's hope it starts here. Add that the club has been woeful at The Cottage and the only two home fixtures this month are against the top 2 teams in the table (Norwich & Huddersfield) this match needs to be played with energy and desperation.

The "we're about to be relegated" version of the old crowd standard "Que sera sera, whatever will be will be. We're going to Wembley [Wim-ber-ley]. Que sera sera"
used to substitute Barnsley for Wembley.

Playing them just convinces me more that we're living near skid row.

Last year after 10 matches we were in 13th place with 12 points. This year we are 12th place with 14 points, just slightly better despite our fast start. Once again the feeling has sunk in that we are just treading water and getting nowhere. Regardless of what happens (I expect October to be just as gloomy as September) I hope we stick with the manager for the full season for once.

If anyone cares anymore, here's the line up:
    Button
    Odoi, Sigurdsson, Ream, Malone
    Parker, Johansen
    Cairney, Aluko, Piazon
    Martin

Bettinelli, Madl, Fredericks, Sessegnon, Tunnicliffe, Kebano, Smith

Glad to see Ream in there. I hope he does well today. Also glad that Fredericks might see some playing time. He can come in for Odoi or Malone and keep the pressure up.

Found some ripped off, low quality highlights. Get 'em while they're hot. The internet police will probably take them down soon.

Good result. And that 3rd goal (by Malone?) was sick. Good to see Aluko back.

I hated following this match via Twitter and the BBC. I'll say it... It made me want to pay for Fulham TV. Grrrr.

I would say we were fortunate that Barnsley's defense was worse than ours.

I'll take three road points and exit stage right (or is it left?).
