Leaving town for a few days so better get my 2 cents in on this one. A true 6 pointer and here's hoping that the break was just what the doctored ordered. I refuse to pick against Fulham in this one. 3-1 to the good guys. KEY: Can/will the supporters get behind and lift the team for 90 minutes or will they bust out the knifes at the first sign of trouble?

It would be hard to overstate the importance of this match. If all the teams at the bottom of the table stay in the same form over the next 8 games as they did in the previous 8, then the end of the season looks like this:
    20. Brentford 46 points
    21. MK Dons 46 points
    22. Fulham 44 points - relegated
    23. Charlton 40 points - relegated
    24. Bolton 28 points - relegated

We're certainly a better team than last year, but we can't seem to keep games from slipping away. Kit didn't get much love this season, but we've only gotten progressively worse since he left.
    • Kit: 31% wins, 31% draws, 38% losses
    • No Manger: 12.5% wins, 50 % draws, 37.5% losses
    • Jokanovic: 14% wins, 36% draws, 50% losses
I understand the issues they had with Kit, but I wish they had waited until the end of the season to look for a manager. We've gone from a certain mid-table finish to an even shot at relegation. Somehow we've got to stop our four month slide to stay in the league.

The last time we played MK Dons it was the first match after Kit was sacked. It was an even game that ended in a 1-1 draw with both teams missing easy goals. We were 12th and they were 21st, so it seemed like a match we could have won if we weren't going through some turmoil.

Win or lose this match, we aren't finished or safe - but a win certainly makes the way easier. We seem capable of beating/losing to anyone so anything is possible to close out the season.

We've worked extremely hard to fuck up our season. I agree that firing Kit was idiotic -- especially with nobody in your back pocket to take over. As I've said before, if Kit is our manager all season, we're slightly above mid-table. If we have Joka all season, we're slightly above mid-table.

I think we're going to win tomorrow, but I wish I had more confidence in the decision making capability of the folks in charge.

Oh, I will continue to boycott watching or listening to our matches until the relegation situation is settled. I mean, I AM a blues singer, but damn, some things are just too painful to experience.

Kacaniklic, Hyndman, George Williams, Richards? As regards to the latter two, both featured for Wales during the break. Williams started against Northern Ireland and Richards came on in the 65th minute in Kiev.

And who should these players replace? Maybe Joka wanted a rested team and not players who traveled and played in other matches.

Sounds like the young American keeper is doing well to keep Dons in the match.

Huge result. Probably would have kept a clean sheet without the one big breakdown that almost cost us two points. Still, very big, very huge.

That's 4 points from 2 matches since my "radio silence vow" -- I'll be back when we're guaranteed safe or guaranteed down

Shoulda' been 4 0r 5-nil, but I'll take it. Can't for the life of me understand how pro footballers at this level miss so many gimmes...except that they're not really gimmes. I get that it's a different game at this speed but, still.....

these guys get booed and barracked at home constantly. In that atmosphere, it's kind of hard to relax enough to let the game come to you.

McCormack's assist on the second goal was fantastic. The cross looked as if it would go over the endline but he turned it back right to Dembele. Very nice. I just wish we hadn't given up that ridiculous goal - like we always seem to do at least once.

Does this mean Jose Mourinho, who was at the match, is a good luck charm and we need to invite him back for the rest of our home games?

Isn't his son still a keeper in our youth setup?

I think he still is HD.

So relieved to see the result. Then from watching the highlights on the offal it looked like Cody Cropper kept them in it. 3 points should do wonders for team morale and hopefully it's on to Preston to get another result.
