This is a must win (HD just rolled his eyes ) against a club Fulham is superior to. Bristol City has lost 5 of 6 matches and are in a complete free fall. The only worrying thing about them is they've actually won more points away than at home (19 to 18). Back on Halloween Fulham demolished BC 1-4 at their place. So jump on them, and for the love of Gawd no PKs or shambolic defending. COYW!!

No PK's or shambolic defending huh? Doesn't seem like a huge request but it must be tricky to figure out on the pitch. Here's to hoping.

Like to pad our goal difference as well. Must win? In early March? I don't know; but I do know we NEED to win this sucker.

I would very much like to be, however...THE WHO are in town Saturday night, so I may have to defer to the missus to any other activities on that particular day. Cause the night will be ROCKIN!'

there is a full, lifetime, guaranteed, all-encompassing dispensation for The Who. I'm hoping Ringo's son will continue to be on the skins. I watched the concert in Hyde Park and his was the most explosive drumming I had seen since ... well ... Keith Moon.

He's quite good, isn't he? And last time they were here, he wore a wonderful red shirt with a wide, white collar and cuffs. Very '60's and VERY cool. I wanted one.

For a team that struggles to maintain focus & effort, the fact that we tonked them 4-1 makes me more nervous than anything. Hopefully we pick up the double...we need it.

Looks like we're sticking with the same lineup, pretty much. Some new faces on the bench, however, including Woodrow. the two Yanks, and Betts. bristol guys.jpg

Buncha damn losers. No heart, no pride, no fight. What's sad is as soon as we got that early goal I started dreading it. When we went to half just 1-0 despite dominating the 1st 45, I just knew a draw was coming. Sadly, I didn't think even we'd blow it and LOSE at home to a club as poor as Bristol City. How a team that's had as little success as we've had can take anything for granted is a mystery, but that's what happened in the 2nd half.

The scary part is this has been going on for years now, despite player & manager changes. Short of a massive house cleaning of players, I don't see the fix.

Somebody needs a butt kicking. Several somebodies. Is Joka capable of administering it? We'll see.

Left to do errands at the 10 minute mark up 1-nil. Checked and still up in the 58th. To get home and see that scoreline was a total shock (was dreading 1-1, but 1-2 was a gut puncher). Rotherham comes back from 3 goals to get a point also. Sickening feeling at the moment to the point of not even being angry

ONE FRIGGIN' POINT ABOVE THE DROP - and McBride and Murphy aren't around to make a Portsmouth-esque rescue. I'm a tad nervous - and it's too early to start drinking on the left coast. Ahh, damn it.

I haven't willingly missed a Fulham match -- TV or Internet radio -- since about 2004, but I'm staying away from television and my hero Gentleman Jim for the rest of the season. It's breaking my heart to listen, and I just can't take it anymore. See youse guys -- if any of you are left -- next season.

My main question (and I haven't been following too closely this year) is are we really this bad? Are my expectations illogically buoyed by the players that we've brought in lately? And what is the deal with the inconsistency? I never know what to expect from a match.

Evan, what's the old Bill Parcells saying? 'You are what your record says you are', so unfortunately it looks like we are this bad. On paper this team has plenty of fire power enough to be a 11th-15th place team, but the defensive breakdowns every freaking match just point to a locker room full of individuals that for the most part don't seem to give a #@$%. I know others will disagree with me, but if Kit had stayed until the end of this season we would be 5-8 points better off than we are now and basically safe. I'm not saying that Kit didn't have his faults, and eventually needed to be sacked, but the transition to eventually get to Joka became an embarrassment and signaled the foundation of the club (upper management) was severely cracked, and that feeds right down to the training ground. The entire season IMO falls at the feet of management, some of whom watched the movie Moneyball far too many times and thought that changing the way the club is run mid-season was the way to go. The cluster-blank of a coaching change has put us in serious peril, and the players have played their part by seemingly thinking matches are only 45 minutes long.

I my opinion, our squad is capable of finishing just above mid-table in this league. Had Kit been our manager all season, that's where we'd be right now. Had Joka been our manager all season, that's where we'd be right now. Our board violated the prime directive: DON'T JUST DO SOMETHING; STAND THERE.

I still expect us to put a few positive results together and finish comfortably above the relegation zone, but we haven't found our feet since the day the board fired Kit, and we're running out of time to get some stability on the pitch.

Unless you hire an "avoid relegation" specialist as your manager, every one of them you bring in will want "their" players. And even the specialists will want a few right away. Suffice to say there will be a revolving door at Motspur Park's dressing room until the end of the summer transfer window, whether we are relegated or not. I don't think we will, but youneverknow.
