Has anyone here attended a Fulham away match? How was the ticketing process? Also curious if anyone has utilized the club-provided transport. I have a trip scheduled next month and the only match that potentially fits into my schedule is away to Newcastle. Would welcome any advice/wisdom. I've been to the Cottage before, and pretty much have that down, but sadly my itinerary for this trip doesn't work with any home matches.

I did a few years ago when they played Aston Villa. I think the ticketing process is a bit different now. If you're an member card holder, I think you can purchase the tickets online through the Fulham FC site when they're on sale.

But I got in touch with American Mike way back when, he got me the tickets and I paid him back. Might want to PM him and ask what the procedure is these days.

Got no advice for you TIm, since I can't seem to even make it to Studio City  As Heather said, I think you can get tickets if you are a member. Can't imagine Fulham selling out their away allotment for a trip up north, but going to a match at St. James would have to be a great experience. I don't think the club provides transportation for every trip, but maybe the Godfather could explain that one. The one person that probably knows the best way to travel up there is sfm so you might want to pm him also.

Tim, not sure if it will matter to you, but because Toon progressed in the Europa League, the match will probably be moved to that Sunday.

Good call Joe. I hadn't thought of that. It would also explain why tickets have yet to go on sale. And upon checking, the official League site does, in fact, have this match taking place on Sunday. Unfortunately, i'm not able to travel to the North that day...I suppose the next step is to find a friendly pub in which to watch. Or tell my brother to reschedule his wedding. He'll understand, right?

I know it's not always possible, but what with cup ties, Sky TV decisions, and the occasional frozen pitch, I think it's always best to schedule a soccer trip to England to arrive on Thursday and leave on Tuesday. I did that on my trip, and when the match was moved from Saturday to Sunday, it made no difference at all to my plans.

5 days. Should be a nice trip and a good time of year to visit. As it appears attending a match is now unlikely, I may just do a Cottage tour instead. I can't go all that way and not at least stop by.
