Felt bad today for the Reading keeper, Adam Federici. He allowed a howler in added extra time in an FA Cup semi. They went toe to toe with Arse at the Big House and acquitted themselves very well, I thought. Tough goal to lose by in that setting.

I made the mistake of not allowing extra time in my DVR. As soon as the whistle blew for 90 minutes and I had only 12 left, I deleted the match.

Over the 90, I thought Reading had the edge. There were some VERY bad calls/no calls on them that changed the momentum of the game several times when they had a clear upper hand. I'm a fan of the way Wenger's teams play, but the constant flopping and rolling over in agony by the Gunners was nothing short of disgusting. I hope Liverpool whup 'em in the final.

So much for that idea. You'll have to pull for Villa & Bad Brad.

I wonder if he'll play. Given was in today and, according to what I've read, Brad hasn't played at all in the Cup run.

28 minutes in and the Gooners have dominated despite the 0-0 scoreline. Given with one good save, and one Fulham connection; Kieren Richardson with a great save off the line for the Villians..and he didn't even pull a hammy doing it

Richardson was Villa's best player, but that wasn't saying much. Did you see the brief pre-match interview with Friedel? I'll be surprised if Guzan is a Villain is August.

didn't see the interview, but it puzzles me how Arsenal hasn't contended for the league title in the past 6 or 7 years. they have some quality in their side and, regardless of how much chelsea, city or utd. spend this year, they should be able to throw their hat in the ring next season.

They haven't had a settled CB pairing, nor a good midfield destroyer since their undefeated season. There's plenty of silk, but not enough iron. Mind you, I love watching Wenger's sides, but they can be beaten by negative football.

Arse again, ugh. But they are fun to watch. And the British press all but sack Wenger every time their form dips. I'd take his record, and their style of play, any day and twice on Sunday.

For $hits and giggles, let's say Yaya Toure joins the Gunners. I think that would be a title-contending squad if a destroyer type is missing, which I agree with. Somebody needs to carry the water...always.
