I'm really starting to hate the trend in basketball announcers saying "and the hockey assist to" leave the hockey assist to hockey

What does it even mean? I'm guessing a secondary assist? I don't like it.

But the word in sports that bothers me the most (as it is used waaaaay too much in post game pressers): resilience or resiliency.

Basically a pass that leads to an assist. I've heard it multiple times in nba games and when watching highlights. It's not overly used just annoys me
