This morning, HatterMom and I dropped by the Riverwalk Plaza Hotel to have coffee and conversation with Emi and her charming husband Nick. They are taking a long motor trip from Baton Rouge, LA to Livermore, CA and stayed overnight in the capital city of The Peoples Republic of South Texas. I hope more FulhAmericans get an opportunity to meet these delightful people.

Just chatted with Emi on FB -- she and Nick are enjoying White Sands -- and we both realized that none of the four of us brought cameras to the meeting! Argh.

As for Matt, I haven't heard from him in a few weeks. I'm going to have to rattle his chain soon.

I'm around. Was out of town for a week and realized I didn't miss the internet much so I'm taking some time away. While it's not meant as an indictment of this site, I find it better to go cold turkey and take the occassional sabbatical from all message boards from time to time. There is far more stupid out there than I can abide w/o a break. That said, I'm still looking in here every now and then.

I'd thought about doing a write up similar to Barry's "Cutting out the heart..." pieces but I lost all drive to do it before the season ended. I don't think I watched any of our final 3 or 4 matches aside from the highlights. I do appreciate the time he's put into them and will add my two cents to that debate soon. Hopefully others have as well.

Speaking of around, I was hoping to see anyone in the chat room for USA/Belgium.

Always nice to hear about FulhamUSA meetups. Would definitely be interested in meeting up with anyone who makes it down to South Florida. Maybe Christian can come out too.

Hey guys, how is everyone doing. Me and my lovely husband finally settled down in San Jose since November 2013. It will be great to meet and keep in touch with people who are here in the Bay Area.

More meet ups. Yes. A splendid idea. Has anybody ever been to the Kentucky Derby?

Unfortunately, I've never been at the Kentucky Derby but I will attend a match between Manchester United and San Jose Earthquakes

A little bit too short notice for the Kentucky Derby Jump.
