Not surprising, especially since he was pretty close to leaving in the winter transfer window last year.

Unfortunately, even with the selling/injuries he doesn't get games. Of course only Jol and him know what was said for him to stay last Jan, but it clearly hasn't panned out. I would like to keep him, but at his age if he isn't getting games then he needs to move on. I think he would have done well for us.

Which begs the question....why did we want him in the first place? We can't afford, literally, to invest in players who don't, for whatever reason, pan out.

well, he was certainly young and he was certainly an investment. He had, however started a few games for a SerieA team and showed quite a bit of talent and promise in his few appearances. Jol can bury a youngster quicker than most anyone I've seen in football management. All it took was for Kasami to take that Carling Cup penalty against Chelsea to seal his doom. I'd much rather see more of him than the seemingly endless supply of old and slow has-beens we're signing now.

I am puzzled by the lack of chances Kasami seems to get compared to the impact he makes in his cameo appearances.

:text-+1: Even if you plan on selling him, you would think getting him on the pitch a little bit, will add value.

This is an example of why I haven't donned a toga and joined the Cult of Jol.

Loaned out. He's a U21 Swiss player so maybe this is just the move to get his career back up and going. If Jol is still here, he'll be sold for peanuts in the summer. Still only 20. Unless he (or his attitude) was so poor in training that he didn't warrant an opportunity, it has been a mystery why Kasami can't get a sniff. Lord knows with the form of the squad, that giving the kid a boost in the arm could not of hurt.

Here's my thing. Why do you waste 3/5 of the season before you loan the kid out. There's a very real chance that Jol has done irreperrable harm to the kid's career by burying him for the better part of two years. I hope he frees himself of Fulham before he has no career left.
