As a neutral (cough, cough, with a wife who went to school in Boston and she grew up in Tom Brady's San Mateo - I wanted to come home last night as an aside!) I thought it was a good game. Still scratching my head why beast mode wasn't utilized...and will never know. The kind-of brawl at the end was classless. Other than that, I watched a hard-hitting, no nonsense pointy-football game. That's so unusual in the Super Bowl...probably leads me to believe the game was better than it was (not that the Fernet helped, certainly), but anytime a 4th quarter is relevant in a Super Bowl is cool with me.

To say I still want to throw up is an understatement. My 48 hour all media blackout hasn't helped. Tbh, didn't watch 1 second after the pick so wasn't happy if Hawks were acting classless. Was happy to see Richard Sherman be the first to shake Brady's hand. Hard to even reply and come up with the reasoning behind Beast not getting the ball, he gets it, they score. Congrats to Heather & Jim, this has to balance out the Tyree catch a little bit.

Weirdest NFC sequence. Detroit loses to Dallas with a massive call going against the Lions. Dallas gets hosed with the non catch the next week against Green Bay. The Pack then blow the late game lead to Seattle. The Hawks blow a 10 point fourth quarter lead, then the play call heard round the world...

HD, Pete's on field persona can grate people the wrong way, but the man has done so much in the inner cities with his foundation you might have a different opinion of him.

Soon enough, and it will then be time for your Cardinals to lose to my Giants again.;)

Oh, the hubris in my post, I shall be hit by a lightening bolt.

Might wanna wait and see how spring training works out there, Nev. There's usually a few moves before they start counting wins and losses for real. Despite the obvious improvement of the Buccos and Cubs, I still like our chances of making the playoffs. Then it's just as matter of who gets hot and stays hot through October.

You two might want to start an American cricket 2015 thread. Just saying.
