Frimpong may walk into the starting XI. He is young but he is also talented from the little I have seen of him.

You aren't alone in feeling the paranoia Matt. Going back to last year's Jan. window the club has sold and/or shed a ton of payroll. Zamora and the 2 Dems gone. Murphy, AJ, and Dickson let go and were making good money. Throw in Pog the savior not being signed, and cleaning out the bottom of the roster w/only Diarra, Berba, and some youngsters coming in and that is a ton of cash in the coffers. I understand that most of that money is earmarked for the new stand (hopefully), but to play russian roulette with so much extra TV money coming next year seems penny wise pound foolish.

I don't know Barry. He's only appeared in 8 Prem matches in his career and 20 matches (all comps) in the last 2 seasons . The last time he went 90 minutes in the Prem, 8/20/11. His last appearance in the Prem was 4/2/12. He's only gone 90 once this season, v Brighton in the Eng Lg Champ for Charlton back in August.

I realize injuries have played a large part in that. But this guy is a big unknown and there isn't even a good or consistant run up of matches prior to his arrival to base any opinion on. Hopefully I'm wrong in my skepticism.

What I've seen of Frimpong and what the Gooner fans say about him, I have hope that he'll be a good gain. I don't mind the kids, but we have 2 starting positions that have to be upgraded and, so far, the only one close to that is Frimpong.

Great news coming from PSV Eindhoven, the club are about to give to us on a loan, Stanislav Manolev with an option to buy him later.

Emi, is this coming from your Bulgarian news sources? If true you would think Fulham is trying to move JAR.

Yes from trustable Bulgarian news source, and will be on a loan, is a right-left back.

Certainly fills a need if true, especially with Kelly gone. With other multi-positional players in Baird and Richardson to cover, that should give us enough depth to move JAR as well.

Nobody is wrong to be skepical Matt. I have seen very little of Frimpong but the little I have seen of him makes me think he does have the potential to step in front of Sidwell or perhaps sit in front of the back four if Jol decides on a formation change. It is no doubt a risk, and a big one at that, but as thin as Fulham is at center-mid the kid would not have to be an overwhelming talent to be a difference maker for us at the moment.

Tom Huddlestone's proposed move from Tottenham to Fulham is off. As things stand, he is staying at Spurs #bbctransfernews #thfc #ffc

@SamWallaceIndy Appears Fulham pouring its resources into bid for Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis. Huddlestone deal a casualty

Fulham are expected to sign with Stanislav Manolev today for a loan until the end of the season and then to sign him for a year and a half. He is in London, today doing his medicals and by the end of the day are expected to sign with him.

According to Ives Jol is getting to spend some serious dosh as we are also going after Bafetimbi Gomis and Roma's Maarten stekelenberg.

That news, no debt, and yesterday's win, make me :banana-linedance:

And how about a final appearance back where it all started for Louis Saha?? Sunderland just reports that he has left their club.

That might be fun, for at least the rest of the season.

And despite reports that we were after Jack Butland, he has gone to Stoke. Or as I like to look at it, Stoke is Butland :p

Fulham have agreed a fee with Ajax Amsterdam for Cameroon midfielder Eyong Enoh. #FFC #AJAX #THFC #CMR
Enoh was withdrawn from Ajax's travelling squad for this evening's Dutch Cup quarterfinal against Vitesse Arnhem and flew to London this morning to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms at Fulham. The high-energy Cameroon international, 26, worked under Martin Jol during his spell as Ajax coach and is expected to cost between €750,000 and €1million.

Ajax is typically a pretty good pedigree.
