Taylor Twellman is doing color commentary vs. Rob Stone's play by play for the San Jose - Tottenham game. I actually think he's doing really well. I'd replace Harkes with Twellman in a heartbeat.

I thought it was painful to listen to the pair of them.

Yeah, I didn't think he was that great, but go ahead and replace Harkes (aka the guy who slept with his teamate's wife). I can't be the only one who thinks this every time Harkes is on.

He needs to wait his turn behind Martino.

And before that, a Junior Billiken.

(explanation: that's the mascot of Taylor's high school alma mater, at which I am employed)

The commentary from both was pretty shit. It seemed like he kept praising Gareth Bale all game which was annoying.

I'm not saying he was perfect, but he was a good intelligible and intelligent speaker, didn't make the commentary all about himself and, for the most part, gave moderately insightful color commentary about what was going on on the pitch. I'd be interested to see how he does with a bit more experience and paired up with a competent play-by-play man. Even at this point, I'd take him over Efan Okoku (sp?)
