Well, I've abstained from posting any of my track exploits this year because well I look back and it seems rather pretentious of me. But I can not contain my excitement this time. I get to head over to Tacoma to compete at the State meet this weekend in long jump and the 4x100 relay! We're the first guys relay team from Quincy to make it to the state meet in a relay in 10 years. Wish us luck!

Ian, you've got at least a few track and field fans on here who want to hear how you're doing - least of all FUSA's founder who was quite the long jumper himself. Best of luck. You will be in my thoughts. See it, believe it. Make FUSA proud!!

State meet. You are officially a FUSA stud.

not to mention those of us who are so old we tire just THINKING about 4X100 relays.

You've been on this site long enough to know that we all enjoy rejoicing in each other's triumphs. Keep up the good performances, and keep us informed.

    Thanks all!

We aren't actually. We're running at Mt. Tahoma High School. I believe its a really new school. Only been around for a few years now is what I hear. Don't quote me on that though.

Well, unfortunately I jumped the worst I had all year. I finished 15th out of 16 but the experience was fantastic! One of the highlights of my high school career for sure. I'm just a bit miffed that I should've been top 5 but oh well. I've got next year to look forward to.

Top 15 in the state of Washington? Pretty awesome in the grand scheme of things Ian. Sorry to hear about your disappointment, but as the good man from Texas said use it to fuel the fire for next year.
