Rumstove! Where have you been? You're missed around these boards. Was it the broken PAC-man scores that drove you away. :)

Killer B. Friedel. Not as bad as the Toon's lemon mess was though.

The regular Villa shirts aren't awful, though. The "logo" itself is pretty bad but I think the image LaxAttack linked serves to reinforce the fact that the real problem is that it's placed too high on the Fulham shirts, which makes it an issue with Kappa rather than FXPro. The club crest and manufacturer logo are higher too; look at how the vertical middle of the Fulham crest is about even with the bottom of the v-neck collar:

Whereas in the Villa shirts the top of the crest is about even with, or maybe a little lower than, the bottom of the V-neck in the collar (tough to tell exactly where because the Villa shirts don't have a color-contrasting collar). More space between the Villa crest and the Nike logo and the sponsor logo on the Villa shirts as well. The sponsor "logo" is still crappy, but it doesn't hurt the Villa shirt as much as it does ours.

I guess part of the thing is, when you really just have a white shirt with a black collar and cuffs and no real detailing at all other than Kappa logos and Fulham crest, the sponsor "logo" is more overpowering than in the Villa shirt with the blue sleeves and and a non-plain side panel. On the other hand, I think the checkerboard side panel on the Villa shirts is awful awful awful.

There is not a piece of fashion in all of the world that was as awful as that one AG -- it's seared in my memory for all the worng reasons.

God love the Toon. Can they get relegated again this year? Please?

    Nice.

Slap a blond wig on him and he looks like the bassist from Stryper.

Thanks :) how are you both? I'd love to blame my absence on the Pac-man scores...

I'll be sure to stick around and post more 8)

More on topic...how come the rest of the team gets a nice looking checkerboard design and brad gets sleeves that look like they're straight from graphics in La Roux's Bulletproof video?

Away kit looks pretty cool with the horizontal white bar.

And while my initial reaction to the 3rd was one of confusion, the green and gold is actually growing. Should be interesting to hear the Club explanation on that one. Totally dig the oversized naked chicks on the shoulder of that one too....may be destined to be a classic.

Please say that the leaked kits aren't right -- if they had a table for worst unis in the league, we'd be relegated.

That may be wrong, let's see what the CarToon duds look like this year.

just take away the horzontal white strip across the middle on the Away, and i like it.

I love/hate the third kit, i love the color combo of green/gold. But, i coach high school soccer in santa barbara, and those are the colors of our hated rival (last year's #1 in the country high school team). So screw that!

Red shorts instead of black on the away kit is different. That white stripe gives it a Boro feel. We'll wear the 3rd 1-2 times max, so who cares. But I do wish we'd go with an all black look for the third instead of the myriad colors we've seen the last 4 years.

Pretty sure I'll be buying the 3rd. It is so out there it will be limited edition. Plus, a Fulham kit with a Celtic flair,.... I'm near rhapsody!! (Poppable collar, and it would be ecstacy.)
