it's kind of ironic that Zamora's full commitment to Fulham's European competition has resulted in his achilles being questionable. When he missed the last few league matches, I knew that it cost him his chance to go to South Africa -- however small that chance really was.

    Emile Heskey? David James? Really?

Aside from that, a much better squad than SGE picked for '06

I know... it sticks in my craw every time I see James listed. He's like Clint Mathis but a GK. He's like Hahnemann with a reverse attitude..

That is an interesting list. He is kind of hitting players for all styles of play so based on who he keeps we should have a pretty clear vision of what they are going to do.

Easy pickings. If that is the best that England can do, I like our chances.

Who do we prefer in the Round of 16?

That sucks for Zamora. The quote in the article makes it sound like Capello wanted him in this 30 man squad.

I watched the second half on ITV tonight and though our Bobby played superbly. His touch and control was excellent, he played Adam Johnson in well and forced two very good saves. He quite looks the part of a full England International and we should feel rightly proud for his performance tonight (and Zoltan Gera's as well despite Hart's save on the one on one).
Anyone else from here going to the Man Utd match or up to Blackpool?
