Transfers with the rest of English football (Championship, League 1, etc.) are open until October 16. Likely to see a few more changes in that window.

Speaking of fingers, wanted to give one to the yahoo sports writer who gave Fulham an ‘F’ for the transfer window. Read why he thought that, and it was because we didn’t get defensive help...huh? Scrolled back up to see who wrote it, and the article was time stamped a full hour before the window closed...apparently the moron doesn’t know how the English window works.

Curious how everyone thinks Parker will play Loftus-Cheek vs. how he should be played. Box-to-box, behind Mitro, withdrawn? What's our best midfield 3? Loftus-Cheek, Anguissa, Reed?

Also, what is our best back 4 now? Robinson, Ream, Andersen, Tete? (What happened to Hector? He should be better than Ream but isn't.)

    Is this our strongest 11?
    Areola
    Def: Robinson, Ream, Andersen, Tete
    Mid: Loftus-Cheek, Anguissa, Reed
    Wings: Bryan, Lookman
    Striker: Mitrovic

What tactical approach best fits the personnel?

I have no idea what the answers are. Hope Parker does.

Time will tell if our newbies can plug the gap in our gaping defense.
As for the int’l window as a whole, I don’t think anybody helped themselves more than Everton last month when they got James Rodriguez from Real. Right now, and I know it’s early, he fits perfectly into Everton’s puzzle. I’ve always liked Gylfi Sigurdsson, but thought Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison, both gifted 23 year olds, were a couple of seasons away from becoming impact strikers. ANGH. WRONG. Not sure about their defense...never thought much of Pickford, despite being the England #1...but I like how they play. Hope they can keep it up until next spring. I get tired of seeing the same blue bloods lifting the big trophies.

Like @jumpkutz said, only time will tell on defense. Tete looked better than any other option at right back, hopefully he can get healthy enough to start. I like Tim Ream, but I don't think he's right for this level. Someone else will take that spot.

Bryan has good chemistry with Mitrovic, so having him in is appealing, but it also feels like there should be some better options on the squad to play that role.

After all the talk that said that Fulham was trying limit new players to keep the chemistry that brought them success in the Championship, if Fulham were to go with that suggested starting XI (which seems reasonable) it would have only four players who were with the team last year.

The Premier League limits teams to a 25 man squad. There are currently 29 faces on the first team page. There is one day left on the domestic transfer window. I expect to see a couple exits on October 16.

Yes, Knockaert is now gone, but Kongolo is in. I’m happy about that. Christie is gone too, but still shows up.

The club released their 25-man roster: https://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2020/october/2020-21-Squad-Confirmed/

Guys who won't be seeing any Premier League playing time:
    Jean Michael Seri
    Stefan Johansen
    Kevin McDonald
    Josh Onomah

Maybe I just don't pay enough attention who doesn't make the cut on other clubs (Ozil is the only other person in this situation I can think of), but that seems like a lot of talent that could have gotten loaned out or sold that Fulham will now be paying for and getting nothing in return. Am I expecting too much here?

I don't get this either. Seri was rumoured to be wanted by a few clubs during the window. Why not let him go. Very odd

I can see the others, but Onomah is shocking to me. Why not sideline Le Marchand, De Cordova-Reid, or Kamara instead?

As someone else said, this is such a waste of talent and money.

According to the guys on the Fulhamish podcast Onomah has an injury that will keep him out for a few months, so that was a factor in the decision to drop him from the 25 man roster. If true, that makes the decision seem far more reasonable.
