Is anyone planning on going to the final? There are 3 of us from the DC area going as of now. We may pick up a fourth. Anyone else? Can't think of a better place to meet some of the you.

It's all thanks to the glory of business travel, it takes a lot of commuter jet flights out of DCA to get to London!

I would love to go, but both of my adult children are currently engaged, so it's just not financially possible. But I'll be watching and hoping those of you who manage to get there have a great time and safe travels...and GET US THE PROMOTION VICTORY WE DESERVE! After watching the Villa-Boro match today, it's there for us to take.
MARCH UP OLYMPIC WAY LOUD AND PROUD COTTAGER ARMY!

My youngest son is a Villa fan so I told my wife that we had to go. We'd sit at midfield with me on the east side and him on the west. Sadly she said no. Something about college costs and related nonsense. Thhbbbbttt!!!! Priorities!

If I wasn't in the UK but a month ago, I'd go. But the quick turnaround and $$$ associated probably not, sadly. :(

Have not posted in a while (I think it used to be under Sullytex or something similar). I have booked my flight and am working on tickets (via touts and friends). If I get a ticket, I will be on the plane (except for some unforeseen circumstance...such as some BS emergency at work). If possible would like to meet up with some folks so I will watch this thread. When I lived over there, I think I met around 6-7 folks on this site at matches or at the Golden Lion and after I repatriated, met some in Houston. Glad the site is still up and running. Will try to frequent it a bit more often.

I was over in late January/February. Saw them win at Barnsley & home v Nottingham Forest. Too soon to return, given time & money. Enjoy, it should be a great atmosphere

I'm seeing a lot of posts on twitter about folks over here who've obtained tickets that, theoretically, shouldn't be available to them yet because only current or future season ticket holders have access to the website selling them. I realize there are ticket re-sellers there as well but, how are so many able to do that?

Either the secondary market, or have friends who are season ticket holders who bought tickets for them. There's also a pretty active market on twitter of season ticket holders who bought their full 5 and are willing to sell to other fans. I get to try my luck tomorrow morning!

I think some websites sell them and backfill the orders through the secondary market after they go on sale (maybe its as you say DC, they get folks to commit to sell them ahead of time). I've done it before, you get you face ripped off and I've heard occasionally they fail to obtain the tickets and folks get screwed (I've never had it happen to me). I have some folks I am leaning on to see if they can get them directly through the club, if not, I will take my shot with the an online tout.

What's considered a sellout at Wembley? I scoured wikipedia for the following attendance numbers for the playoff final of the Championship:
    Stadium capacity: 90,000
    2017: 76,682
    2016: 70,189
    2015: 85,656
    2014: 87,348
    2013: 82,025
    2012: 78,523
    2011: 86,581
    2010: 82,244

My friend who is a member was able to get his full allotment of 4 seats so no touts for me luckily. Arrive Friday morning and leave Monday afternoon. Staying in Henley Friday/Sunday, in London on Saturday. The last time I was at Wembley the USA women won the gold medal. Let’s hope the same four out Whites (well promotion anyway, although a gold medal would be a nice bonus for the players).
