Hello, my name is HatterDon [Hello Hatter] and I spend time on other fora ... So, here's the thing about FulhamUSA.com that I don't see anywhere else:

    1. A single thread dealing with a single topic can last as long as 9 months ... and it doesn't go off topic.

    2. Folks "liking" a comment and then going on to disagree with it.

    3. Moderators whose [seemingly] only function is to weed out the bots and disease carriers, as opposed to having to constantly remind folks to "play nice.". Of course, most of this is because

    a. there's not a lot of fights over here to break up
    b. and when there is one [and we all know which two folks generally get it started] the fights don't get personal.

    4. The fact that there's always folk you can count on for serious analysis and opinions ...

... and for finding just the right youtube clip to match the thread, right Nev?

I'll take the bait and adding to HD's comments, what I like (given it's been, gulp, ten years since I found this place) (can't play the Romantics though - loathe that tune):
    1. the opportunity to meet with the other folks on this site, in person, for matches and fun times
    2. it's not solely about soccer - there's a marketplace of ideas and the exchange of information, opinions and discussion is rich and varied - a testament to the swath of personalities that visit, have visited or been moderators
    3. civility - it's a rare commodity in modern discourse but the intelligence factor around here has been, and will continue to be, a thing to enjoy

    5. and lest I disappoint:

How can you loathe this song?!

Maybe you need to hear a live version?

    Perhaps a cover?

Actually I think repetition is the answer. It will grow on you. Like a fungus. Or a rash.

That got to be the standard "last set starter" for the old Tim and Bob Show. Loved to rock that one out.

OK, OK, OK - I'm a curmudgeon and in the minority regarding "What I Like About You" - Although, I do enjoy drummers that sing as well (yes, R. Starr, D. Grohl, P. Collins, Sheila E., D. Henley and L. Helm, looking at you)

Tell me all the things that I wanna hear...

True story: was in Guadalajara a few years back, went to a Chivas game, afterwards our friend who lived there took us on a journey (crazy road system) through the city to a bar for live music. 4 guys hit the stage, I'm expecting a Mana-type band (think the Spanish language version of The Police)...First song, in English, What I Like About You.

It's got a good beat, and it's easy to dance to. I give it a 95.

    'Cause it's true....

Nailed it, HD. Grew up with this on the HI-FI via my mom.

Lol... though a 'child of fifties/sixties' I prefer headbang rock. I even did a mix for my long commute to Cols that was nothing but Guns'roses , AcDC and the like. Oddly relaxing for a long drive, IMO.
And the Poison Version of What I like about You was on it. Though the Romantics version came close to 'Earworm' status in its day.

Welcome back, Fog, and -- in the spirit of Mr. Nev -- here's something I suffered from during one of my lives in England.
