I really think the club should look into acquiring this Messi kid from Barcelona. I mean, really, what would it take to trigger his release clause? Shad's got that in his money clip, right? Let's get that Iniesta fellow, his team mate, while we're at it. Should lead to a few more goals, eh?

This is intriguing. I recall liking this kid a lot during his previous stint with us. I hope this happens.

Maybe we should sign Jordan Morris in January. I know what Don's gonna say: "He's a one footed player." Yeah, so? He's pretty darn good one footed player, and he couldn't do worse than the attackers we currently employ.

Evidently, Sky is mooting this as well. Sorry to see him go. I hope he has a fine career.

Remember his last start for us? An assist and a missed penalty -- that he won. He's obviously not the player that Joka wants. Ah well.

Usually it's waiting until the last couple of days, but this Chris Martin situation sure makes for an entertaining start of the window. I'm all for letting him rot or grovel (whichever works out best for the club). We all know how the British press works, until I hear what Martin has to say I'll reserve total vitriol until later.

If we lose Martin and Joka is forced to rely on Smith up front, we'll be looking for a new manager in February.

There's a lot there for one sentence Hatter. Lose Martin. Sounds for all the world like we've already lost him, one way or the other. Joka is forced. If your manager if "forced" to do anything, then he won't be your manager for long. He'll quit before being forced to do anything. And we'll be looking for a new manager in THIS month.

and now I hear our manager is being lured by a La Liga side. IF we can keep him through the rest of this season, we'll lose him in May unless we get promoted.

And this, my young friends, is what life is like in the lower divisions. Good player? Good manager? He gone.

I've seen comments elsewhere that he's back in preparation for leaving us permanently in this transfer window.

Would make sense. Unless the expectation is for someone else to leave, he doesn't fill any gaps.

Some unsubstantiated reports circulating on social media that Ross McCormack is coming back to Fulham. Others have Wolves also looking at acquiring him. Either way, looks like he's moving on from Villa. Would you want him back? I'd have said no before the Chris Martin soap opera began. Now? I'd be inclined to say yes.

Looks like Piazon is extending. This is good.

I know that the Jaguars and Fulham are two different organizations, but yesterday's head coaching move with the Jaguars leaves me concerned about the decision making abilities of our dear leader. It was clear by the mid-way point this season after going 2-6 that the Jags were going nowhere. It would be another losing record under Gus Bradley. Midway through the season I hoped that they would fire Bradley and give Doug Marrone, an assistant coach who had head coaching experience, a chance to see what he could do. Maybe Marrone could get more out of the team, perhaps even get a shot at the playoffs in a weak division. Instead Bradley stayed and the team floundered. Finally with two weeks to go Bradley is canned and Marrone gets the job. Marrone did a fine job in the last two games, but I figured they must have no intention of hiring Marrone since they stuck with Bradley so long. But no! They hire Marrone! If they had any thought about hiring Marrone, why not give him half a season to prove himself?! Now we've have to give him a full season to find out if he can improve the Jaguar's sad record. We could have shortened that cycle by a season if he'd been giving a chance earlier this year. I'm happy that they brought Coughlin in as a VP, but I don't think there is a good decision maker at the head of the organization and that also makes me concerned about Fulham's direction going forward. This looks like dithering and I hate dithering!
