Good to see Kevin Bacon is returning to form. AJ, Wood & Pulisic are the beginnings of what could have the potential to be our most creative & effective offense ever.

I've been checking Dortmund results to see what Pulisic's been up to. After playing in a 6-0 Champions League win mid-week, he got to play in the league game on Saturday. He had a goal and 2 assists in another 6-0 win. Wish I could have seen it.

And, he turned 18 yesterday. If he stays healthy...we may have a great one on our hands. Fingers crossed.

Carter-Vickers started and got 90 minutes in Tottenham's league cup match. It's telling that their manager thinks more of him than he did Yedlin.

The work by Pulisic is nice but the settle and shot by Schurle is a display of calmness and precision.

    From today's matches in England:

Championship: Birmingham's Spector, who has been their full-time right back [for the first time in a few seasons] drew a straight red and will be out for a while. Danny Williams scored again today. I can't figure out why he's JK's least favorite "German." With his skills and toughness, he seems the best replacement for Jones. Forest's Eric Lichaj continued to get the full 90. Forest opened the season with a new guy at RB, but he's been injured I guess. All three sides won. Tim Ream didn't get on the pitch today in our home draw.

Premier League: Tottenham's Carter-Vickers and Sunderland's Gooch never got off the pine today. Cameron is still injured. Hyndman is a milk-carton candidate.

League One: Duane Holmes started and went 83 minutes for Scunthorpe as they won.

    Brad and DeAndre play tomorrow

Neither Yedlin or Guzan left the bench today. Newcastle won their 8th straight (yes, that's right, EIGHTH STRAIGHT) at Elland Road. They're 5 points clear at the top of our league. Karanka clearly favors Victor Valdes over Brad (they lost at home to scum), so he may be the next milk carton boy, unless VV gets hurt. Speaking of milk carton kids, has there been any Patrick Roberts sighting lately?

Well, on the weekend, I decided to watch Dortmund v. Bayern in hopes of getting a look at our newest savior. He got the last five minutes, looked good, and got most of the 80k crowd to its feet at one point.

Today, noting that Leicester City had been relegated to the computer, I decided to check out Dortmund again. What a great decision.

As I texted Hatter Mom, I ran out of finnies late in the second half when the 11th goal clicked in. It finished 8-4 and what a joy to watch. Dortmund played several reserves and Pulisic played the full 90. He looks very good, had two choices to get to 13 on the day but fluffed them both. He did have a brilliant pass for the last goal of the match -- scored by another 18 year old.

Those of you who have been telling me for years that I need to watch the Bundesliga were and are absolutely right. I will do so most weekends from now on.

Nagbe was at the Celtic v Barcelona champions league match and has raised speculation regarding a winter transfer. Nagbe feeding Dembele... that'd be interesting.

Bummer for Lyndon Gooch, out 2-3 months with possible ankle ligament tear in Sunderland's reserve match.
