Right back at it Tuesday for a League Cup match on the other side of town against a League Two side. This scheduling is curious, at best, highly questionable at worst. The question for the coaching staff is: how do you approach it? Do you run out the same 11 that started Friday? Do you give some of the youngsters a shot? Or do you go with the people who would have started had they not been hurt? Or none of the above? I don't know. Theoretically anybody we send out there should be able to get a result against a side two tiers below us, but..... I think we need to field a strong lineup since many of these guys haven't played with each other that long. It's early enough in the season that injuries and fatigue shouldn't be a factor, and I like how we played against Newcastle. Joka seems like a no nonsense kind of guy, so I believe he'll take every match seriously and put guys out there who figure to see plenty of Champ League time as well. Sure hope so, anyway.
I like winning. It's, like, better than losing.

I'm assuming that it's 1945 or 2000 London time, right? Perhaps I'll be able to find a radio link on the official

You only need to see one name to know the approach for this match: The starting keeper is Joronen. That says it all, this is the "B" team. The rest of the starting XI:
    Sessegnon, Stearman, Ream, Kavanagh
Parker, Adeniran, De La Torre, Chirstensen
    Edun, Woodrow

I hope the young guys impress us

Well that was more interesting than it should have been. We played great for 60 minutes, but then when Leyton made a double substitution things seemed to go off the rails. At 60 minutes in I was hoping for a clean sheet, but by the end of the match all I wanted was to avoid extra time. Hopefully this was a learning experience for everyone.

Sounded like Woodrow pleaded his case pretty well.

I wasn't surprised at the lineup. This early in the season, matches Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, and Tuesday, we should hear every name on the books.

Sorry about not making the room. Hope to on Saturday.

enjoying it immensely. I tuned in about 30 minutes in. When I saw the tie, I thought there might be a chance that it was being carried.
