Brentford are at Hull tonight, so maybe they get played out to the point that they're easy pickings for us Saturday. I'm thinking Ross and Moose haven't scored multiples together in quite a while. Time to embarrass somebody.....besides ourselves? #overdueforalaugher.

Expecting the 'we are safe' hangover from the past couple of matches to be gone for a derby match. Also expecting Joka to put out the best available line-up in their preferred positions. The atmosphere at their place will be electric, and that alone should ramp up the level of play.

And now for something completely different - no Dembele starting?! Interesting.

Comments from Gentleman Jim during the first half:

    1. I wonder what the team has been working on all weak.
    2. People keep saying we've improved. I don't see it.
    3. We're just hoofing the ball up front with no apparent plan. If we're going to do that, why is Smith on the bench?
    4. This is just a dismal performance.

All during our Premier League tenure, I've seen condescending dismissive remarks about QPR and Brentford from Fulham supporters. I know the Bees supporters must be loving the easiest 3-0 lead they've ever had.

Just what the hell IS Joka doing on the training ground during the week?

I guess the only logical explanation is trying to decide whom to keep and whom to jettison. But at this rate, you'd almost have to say, just clean house and start from scratch.

So much for being ready for a derby. Thank goodness that I had to get up early and help my wife with stuff and didn't even check the score until now. Feel bad for our supporters attending who had to sit and watch that crap performance, and take grief from our neighbors.

One thing's for sure: we've made zero progress on defense in the last year-plus. Zero. In fact, you could make a strong argument that we've regressed defensively. Nothing good is gonna happen until we get serious about keeping the ball out of our own bloody net.

What were people expecting...a completely new, functional team? I would call for patience when the team hired the current manager just before the winter window where we could only make loan signings. But it's been dysfunctional at Fulham since the end of Jol's reign. This is just par for the course. And it wouldn't shock me to see yet another manager in 4 months time.

Yesterday I was watching my oldest son's U19 rec league team and listening to GJ since both matches started at the same time. My son's team hasn't won a game in years and regularly sees matches ended by the mercy rule. So I was shocked when Fulham was down 2-0 before my son's team. I stopped listening at that point. The rec team had a successful day for them - the game went a full 90 and they scored a goal to make it 7-1. Hopefully we don't have to lower Fulham's definition of success to that level.

We seemed bad all around. Not only did we fall apart on defense we also didn't finish on some good scoring chances. The team has lacked consistency for years. If the "good" Fulham could show up regularly we could be a contender.

The recap below doesn't have GJ. Was he too critical perhaps? Or was his commentary worthless because of that big oaf blocking his view?

GJ was consistently critical throughout the first half -- critical of the obvious fact that that the major truth of Joka's term here is that none of our tactical problems have been addressed, never mind corrected.

I'm not surprised they censored him, and I won't be surprised if there's another voice for Fulham FC next season.

MicahMan - pretty damn funny as my son's club had it's @$$ handed to it 7-1 as well on Saturday afternoon - silly scorelines but my boy's club's defense looked like Fulham to no end - set piece defense surrendered 4 goals.

While we've had a constant turnstile at the manager's position, there doesn't seem to be any accountability elsewhere at the club. We see the same performances & problems no matter who has been in charge. Adding Rigg was a good idea & it's too early to judge the results on that. He failed to put together a balanced squad in the summer, but with as many holes that had to be filled & the winter transfer embargo, it's understandable.

What I don't understand is how these players can continue to come out & give poor efforts & quit on matches. It disgusts me. I've been patient with Khan as owner, but as Heather points out, this started toward the end of Jol's run & has continued since. That time line corresponds precisely to Khan's taking over the club, fwiw.
