Apparently, again this season, we've waited too long to start this thread. Leicester City sacked Nigel Pearson today. Or should this be tacked onto last season's pool? I bow to the will of the people. Oh Foxes! You make us look competent.

Once the window was open, it became "this season," jk. Evidently Pearson is a bit too weird for color TV and had to go.

Thought the LC owners had to be crazy to sack him until I hit the link and read it. The scandal involving Pearson's kid and the 2 other players basically scuttled the gaffer (let's be honest, 'racist sex orgy' by your kid and other players on a 'Goodwill" tour of the country on behalf of the Thai owners will get you a pink slip pretty quick). Safe to say that the Foxes will appear on my list of teams to get dropped from the Prem this season.

Gotta love the Sacking Pool starting in June, that's a record!

Looks like Pearson's replacement, Signor Ranieri, is just what the doctor ordered for Leicester. Dick Advocaat, on the other hand, has taken the early lead in the "post start to the season" pool, at this point.
Guess it wasn't all Jozy's fault after all.

Brendon Rodgers is living on the edge. The Scousers were so close to winning the Prem when Suarez looked like he was scoring just for the fun of it, but selling him and then the folly of trying to keep Balotelli on the balance beam has moved Liverpool from on the cusp of a title to fighting for a Europa spot. Which on the red side of the city is unacceptable.

How about the Chosen One? 1-3 v the Toffees today w a hat trick by Naismith. They are sitting 5th from the bottom with 4 points from 5 matches. When will the Russian Oligarch have had enough?

Knowing Roman, he'll likely kick him out. Jose is the best manager on the planet, and it would be just like Abramovich to pull the plug on him.

Exactly. Jose could get him say 7 pieces of silverware n the next 5 years but give him 5-7 bad results and boom. It's the old "What have you done for me lately?"

Our rivals Brentford made a mess by not giving Mark Warburton a new contract, their replacement Marinus Dijkhuitzen (try and say that name 3 times fast) lasted 8 league games. Ownership there is totally delusional...too bad :D

Rotherham have parted with Steve Evans after 3 1/2 years in charge. This is a strange one to figure out. The Millers had won 2 in a row to get out of the relegation zone (including a 0-2 win at Birmingham). Evans had a great run by overseeing 2 promotions.

The bookies have probably stopped taking bets on the Special One getting the axe. When the headline reads 'Mourinho warns Chelsea not to fire him" it's dead man walking.

Brendan Rodgers gets the boot. Not too surprising.

Someone is going to get a very good manager out of that deal. I'd put more blame on the Liverpool board for their current predicament than Rodgers, but I guess we'll see what happens with his replacement.

I'd assume no chance of that.

After a spirited draw in their derby match, they fire Rodgers. I think the board really wants to go back to "King Kenny" again. I'll tell you one thing, if they stop playing the football Rodgers has them playing, I'll drop one side from my "watch list."

Liverpool, it's easier to live in the past then build in the present.

Klopp's Dortmund's teams were fun to watch on their CL run, so would imagine that Liverpool will play an attractive style of football.

Dick Advocate leaves Sunderland aka the Cleveland Browns of the Prem (revolving door has been installed in the manager's office). Rumors swirling Big Sam is wanted for the gig.

Have paid so little attention to the Prem that I had no idea that Newcastle is sitting rock bottom, Steve McClaren must be hearing the 'You don't know what you're doing' chants from the Geordie fans.

Yep, 'Castle looked decent in the first half at the Etihad, then the sky fell in, along with 5 straight goals by Aguero.
