Taarabt hasn't exactly impressed. If there is any truth to the rumor than this Zaccardo fella must be as useful as a coffee mug with holes in the bottom of it.

Lol Joe, I think Fulham are looking to offload Taarabt anywhere and free up a loan spot. Although if we're going to use it on Zaccardo, I will not be thrilled at all.

Fulham want Adel Taarabt to leave this week, The Sun say.

Taarabt, on a season-long loan from QPR, has failed to impress Whites boss Rene Meulensteen, who would like to send him back to Loftus Road.

Harry Redknapp has been aware for some time that Fulham do not want Taarabt, but the Rangers manager has indicated that he will refuse any request to take him back.

QPR would have to agree to a return for the Moroccan as there is no clause allowing Fulham to cut the loan deal short.

Nevertheless, Meulensteen is reported to have told Taarabt he has no future at Fulham.

Watching Adel Taarabt I'm always reminded of that first cheesy "Goal" movie where the coach tells the kid to run and then kicks the ball well past him in an attempt to teach him that passing beats long, fancy dribbling runs.

    This is so confusing.

If we don't want Taarabt any more, why the heck don't we just send him back? Loans have been cancelled for far less—what the heck kind of iron-clad LOAN deal did Jol sign?

Also, if AC Milan want him, shouldn't they be talking with QPR, not us?

    My head hurts.

Oy if only Fulham had a beat reporter.

53.2.2 Subject to the proviso that the duration of a Standard Loan must be the time between two Transfer Windows, Standard Loans can be for half a Season or a full Season. Any recall clause requiring the early termination of a Standard Loan can only be included in a full Season Standard Loan and this can only be activated during the second (January) Transfer Window. Any other early termination of a Standard Loan must be by way of a mutual agreement in writing (including by way of a recall clause within the Standard Loan Agreement) between both Clubs and the Player but can only be completed after the expiry of 28 days and only during a Transfer Window (but subject to Regulation 53.2.3 below).

Apparently Jol (or whoever) felt confident in these players and included a recall clause to ensure they couldn't be pulled back without our agreement. I remember when we brought in Bent, it was said that he couldn't be sent back. I thought it was the opposite with Taarabt, but I guess not.

According to Sky, Milan have agreed the Taarabt switch pending a medical but there is no agreement in place for Zaccardo. Sounds like Milan wanted us to take him in return as part of the deal (likely getting wages off their books) but we aren't interested and aren't required to do a swap in order to move Taarabt, so long as Milan want to take him on. Have also read we couldn't agree terms with Zaccardo, so who knows.

Also, apparently we've recalled Cauley Woodrow from loan. Not sure if that has anything to do with the first team or what it's about. You'd think Trotta would be the most likely recall if we're looking for a forward to participate with the first team on some level.

    Boy talk about failing upwards.

Had a great season when QPR got promoted; vanished in the EPL for two seasons as club went down. Gets rewarded with a move to a bigger club in Fulham; nets just two goals in the League Cup. Both in August. Against Burton.

And now he's off to Milan? Uh, okay...

Perhaps Milan believe they can teach him there are 10 other players on the pitch he can pass the ball to.

Hah that's true, but that move was mostly Gooch following some horrible advice from his agent//selling seats for AC Milan's summer tour in the USA. Killed his career, but it's his, if not the system's, fault for ever going there in the first place.

But like LaxAttack said, Lane Kiffin is a more apt analogy. Both have done nothing to warrant their current positions, and yet...
