    1-0 Revs
MoM: Twellman -goal on a spectacular bike while sandwiched by defenders.
Loser of the Match: Osorio for playing, at least keeping in, Paulo Wanchope

There was the question of dangerous play on the Twellman bicycle, but that goal was too amazing to disallow. I still think Houston will beat KC and then the Revs in the final.

I'd hate Twellman a lot less if he could manage to not be crap when he plays for the Nats.

True, but the guy has his head in the right place.... imagine one of our Fulham heroes saying the things he did, on mic:

jmh. Aside from Parkhurst (who is on his own team) and Conrad, what National Team quality defenders is he facing on a regular basis? Our Strikers, more than any other position, need to go to Europe to get better/good enough.

I love Twellman; he's a Terrapin after all. But there's a difference between a solid team player and an international-level player. Like Ralston, he's a quality team guy and he'd do well in most team's mix. His problem with the USMNT is that he plays in a position in which we are very weak. Like EJ and others, every weakness he has shows up in klieglights. Unlike EJ, Twellman has no problems between the ears. Unlike EJ, he also doesn't have the raw skill set. If he was Josh Wolff's size, he'd lead our line every match. If he had EJ's touch [or if EJ had his heart[, we'd all be wondering how Altidore is going to break through. But he's just a really good club player.

    Helluva goal, though; huh?

He doesnt play well for the USMNT because he wears his jersey too tight.
