We might look back and say Tim
Weah’s red card was one of the great things ever to happen to the USMNT. I loved seeing Tim Ream’s assessment that the training sessions are the most intense in his 14 years of playing for the Nats. I for one love Poch for dreaming big, but also for being pragmatic. He said these games are less important for Pulisic (and that he seemed tired) then it is to keep his red hot form at AC Milan. Wouldn’t be surprised in the least if Pulisic plays only 45 min (or maybe not at all) versus Panama today. Should be fun seeing how we stack up vs El Tri, but not playing in Azteca which should help.

2-0 win (Musah & Pepi). Poch is sending back a few players back to their club teams (be it injuries or workload), Pulisic, Pepi, McKennie, Fossey amongst them. So the El Tri match will be experimental. I’m guessing Branden Vasquez will be given an opportunity to impress the coach.

Not much to say about the US's performance, but at least Raul was on fire! Maybe he needs to take some more free kicks rather than Pereira? When he took out Tim Ream to win the ball back on his assist I was thinking of the episode in Ted Lasso when Mexico plays Canada and the normally friendly Dani Rojas turns on his teammate.
