I can't take another season of giving up late goals.

Another point down the tubes, another embarrassing loss. Ugh.

    The late-match curse continues.

Any ideas? Anyone have a goat to sacrifice?

END THE CURSE '08: Make your suggestions here.

    - Roy Hodgson must catch and kill a rabid badger with his bare hands, then bathe in its blood.

Depressing, but the season just begun. What sucks is next weekend is going to be a match one could bet that we'd lose as well, much more than the Hull match.

Hopefully Hodgson breaks his shoe off in each one of their asses this week they wake the fuck up and realize the supporters aren't going to accept another season of this crap. They are too good a team.

    This is life, friends. :(

Ahh I'm not the only one having flashbacks. That's a relief.

I think we need to pay the grounds crew to take away the goals after the 80 minute mark. If we can't do that we need to train the team to be like a chinese circus act and just stand on top of each other in front of goal.

I have a witness to prove that at the 79th minute I made the comment stating "here comes the dreaded 80th minute".

We are off to a GRAND start.

I could not believe when I saw the score. I really could not believe when I saw that they allowed the goal in the last 10 min. My wife just got home and she asked how they did. When I told her they gave up a goal in the last 10min she was not too happy and said very angrily "What is up with them?"

It's definitely frustrating to see an old ghost like that reappear, especially against a team like Hull.
However, it is just the first game in a long season.
They're going to have to have a good record against lower half teams if they're going to avoid a fight come the end of the campaign ... I hope that this loss doesn't come back to haunt them.

I was really confused by RH's lineup ...

I'd have much rather seen Nevland up front with Zamora and Gera moved back to the midfield in place of Seol. In a perfect world Dempsey replaces Seol and Gera replaces Murphy and RH buys a good Left Back ...

Sure Konch made the bonehead play of the day, but it's not his fault FFC lost that game. I personally think konch is a decent player. We had many opportunities on the other end that we did not capitalize on. let's not lay this all on Konch.

He's mediocre if he doesn't try to play the ball out of danger. When he decides to do anything other then clear the ball then he gets into trouble.

But you're right ... it's not like that one goal cost them the game. It was a lot of missed opportunities and poor ball movement. Half the game looked like Sanchez boom-ball stuff.

I have faith that Roy will get everything under control ...

early days, not to worry. Hodgson will get it straightened out. I am not impressed with Arsenal this year, I think we can get a draw.
