January Transfer Window ‘26

Will we actually be proactive?? Or will we wait till last minute w/some underwhelming loan/signing? I’m hopeful the Kahn’s have seen the table and are open to making a legitimate run for a European spot. There is evidence for some optimism. The Jags were proactive and made a trade at the deadline this season for a WR (Jacoby Meyers) and it was the kind of move that lifted the locker room and they have taken off since.

Rumors swirling about Pepi coming in and Adama leaving for Spam, but we shall see.

 

I'm not sure a physical league like the Prem is the right fit for Pepi but would love to be proven wrong. We definitely need quality additions in striker, defensive midfield, and on the wing. With just 22 senior players (over 21 years old) in the squad, we don't really have to let anyone go, but I'd be glad to save on Adama's wages and frustration. If we do sign a more experienced striker, I also wouldn't be surprised to see Kusi-Asare's loan cut short (provided we have that option in the contract). I had hoped Luke Harris would make a case for himself on loan as a solution for our defensive mid needs, but he hasn't set the Championship on fire at Oxford.

I'm usually a Fulham optimist, but I expect this transfer window to bring more annoyance than excitement, and for that to lead to Silva rejecting a new contract. I really hope I'm wrong, because for all my nit picking regarding his decisions, he's one of the three best managers we've ever had, and if he gets the support he needs and another couple of years, he can transform us into a club routinely contending for European spots.
