I just wanted to say hello. I just got into watching soccer (football) during the World Cup and found myself enjoying the experience. So, I decided to pick an EPL team and settled on Fulham. This choice is becoming better and better with the win over Arsenal and now Dempsey!

Welcome aboard OZ!! From the looks of it, I can see you are a BIG Saints fan. Can you do us a favor and make the avatar smaller though?

Nice pick on Fulham. The team has its ups and downs as we all have experienced in the past two weeks with losses to Manchester City and Reading and then a mind boggling win over Arsenal!

Welcome to the site once again and we all look forward to reading more of your posts on the message board and if you have any questions, feel free to ask us.

Sorry about the avatar. I do have a question. I figured since I was going to be a Fulham fan I should look like one. Do you know where I can purchase a good bar scarf?

I changed my avatar to blank but it hasn't seemed to work. Sorry again. I digress, I am from Abita Springs Louisiana and I found your site just looking up all thing Fulham on the web. I would love to one day make a trip to London and Craven Cottage to feel and see the atmosphere of an EPL match.

You might be able to find one on Ebay. However, your best bet is through the club shop. Mike and a few others on this board that live there might be able to buy one for you and send it over if you pay for it. One of them might be able to give you a concrete yes or no on that one.

    Fleur-de-lis

It is called a Fleur-de-lis. It is a French simbol and New Orleans has French roots.

Thanks for the feedback I exited to be apart of FulhamUSA.

I can't seem to change my avatar.

The Fleur is also the scouting movement symbol. As for scarves - the price of a respectable scarf is around £9 + £2 postage and packingish. If the club shop cannot do you a deal I am more than happy to help.

    Thanks pettyfog.

GBFanClub, I've looked and looked and can't find a good LONG scarf. Most of them are around 4' long.

Ah, the Abita Brewing company. Purple Haze, Turbo Dog, etc. Excellent stuff. I might have to pick some up on the way from home now.

    Welcome to the site!

Yeah I can ride my bike to the Abita Brewery Pub. Turbo Dog and Golden are my favorites.

Is a 'bar scarf' a long one? I am no good on clothers, I still get confused between a skirt and a dress - please on-one tell me - it won't work. I'm afraid that the lenght of a football scarf is 4ft, the primary use is to hold above the head and sway back and forth with the team name showing.
