It's time to open the account in the W column. In Vegas for my fantasy football (nfl) draft and looking forward to waking up groggy but happy to see a 3-1 scoreline to the good guys. Ross to snap out of it with a brace.

    Better draft Brady early. ;)

I think we see our first win and, hopefully, something that makes me think we might have a chance with Kit.

Just hope we get our first win before Brady does.

Sounds like fun, Joe. And wise move playing in a separate league from your wife.

Looking forward to a decent performance. We should beat teams like Huddersfield -- especially at home. Let's hope for no injuries and no red cards.

Yes, waiting until Sept. 10 would be too long. :)

We did the double over just 1 team last year. That team....Huddersfield. 3-1 H, 2-0 A.

I question where the goals will come from at the moment, but we should be winning this one.

You just HAD to mention the phrase red card, didn't you? Keep repeating to yourself, James, "I don't believe in jinxes. I don't believe in jinxes. I don't believe in jinxes...."

I'm cautiously optimistic about this game. The pressure is on Kit and the boys and I'm hopeful that will spur us to come out of the gates aggressively. I'll go for a 3-1 win with goals from McCormack, Dembele, and LVC.

Here's the lineup I would go with:

I think Kavanaugh is better than Voser at getting forward, but a Kaca/Kav partnership on the left terrifies me defensively.

How much longer is Garbutt out for?

The club said 4-6 weeks after the injury was announced. So, roughly about 2-4 weeks left barring any setbacks.

Burn, Kaca, Moussa and, of course, Lonergan. Hopefully this is the lineup that will click.

Glad to see Burn and Kacaniklic in the lineup. I wonder what that formation is going to look like. We need to win this one decisively. COYW!

Should look pretty much like CC's diagram, just imagine both Ross & O'Hara slightly more withdrawn. Kaca should maintain width on the left better than Pringle has. Width on thevright will continue to be an issue. Glad to see Burn in over Bodurov.

Thought Garbutt was initially listed as 6-8 weeks out.

That was a very discouraging draw. Better than a loss, but we are clearly a bottom table team right now. My only hope is that we can prevent the damage from getting too bad while wait for a number of our players to get healthy that might change the team dynamics. I don't know what to do about McCormack the invisible man this season.

Burn certainly earned a starting spot. He deserves to be in the starting XI regularly.

6 GA from 4 isn't good enough, but I'm finding the offensive impotence to be more frustrating. I think this team is crying out for width, but we just don't have the personnel. Ross & his dropping into midfield...and away from the box, is also concerning.

This injury jinx has got to come to an end. Hopefully Hutchinson's injury is minor & Lonergan truly is ok.

Agree on Burn. Sounded like he led the team in heart & effort. Along with Woodrow (fresh legs) & Dembele who sounded very active, especially in the first hour.

As an aside, our man Ream made the bench after Sakari Mattila got hurt during warmups. Not that either of them would have sniffed the pitch after kickoff. We've definitely got issues in every area of the pitch at the moment, but the offensive lethargy that Matt cited is especially troubling. The kids do seem hungrier, don't they? I say play 'em!
