"hardest working striker of the Allsvenskan" hmmmm..... sounds like an improvment over John in the work ethic department

Iceland, Norway, and Arlington Hieghts up front. A VERY cool bunch (pun intended, of course).

I really hope Cookie has more up his sleeve than just these two players. Not to say that these two are bad players at all, but we have only spent about 1.5-2.0 million for these two players combined and with a reported 5-7 million pounds, we still have money in the war chest to spend.

I would still like to see us bolster the defense and get another more experienced center back and a left back not named Wayne Bridge who will not cost us an arm and a leg as the aformentioned Bridge will.

Just for the record, Zakuani officially passed the medical today. I welcome this young player to FFC and hope to see him grow in to one of the premierships best.

I mean, REALLY, was Bridge that good last year that anyone thinks it deserves 5million to pry him away. That would be a very bad move.

I am somewhat excited about "Zak in the Back" and "Run B.Mc" up front. With our new kit provider, Airness, Fulham's developing a whole new genre of young talent and young fans to go along with them. Fulham IS the Future!

Now let's go get some more. There is plenty of more $ to be well spent, especially with a possible 8mil. in transfer fees waiting after John and Mal(content) are gone.

I think he should stay as long as Coleman manages him correctly. Collins could be the next big striker in the Prem but only if he loses his attitude and starts giving atleast 50% of what McBride gives each game.

With Bjorn Runstrom coming in?, at least we have options in the striker postion. We didn't have much talent on the bench last year and it showed bigtime with during the injury nightmare. Here's hoping we have some this year.

Some more gossip: Govou could be on his way but he's not the only one.

French forward Govou is set to leave Lyon this summer while Australian midfielder Emerton is being linked with a move away from Blackburn where he often had to be content with a place on the bench last season.

Middlesbrough are keen on both players but Coleman has the funds to make a double bid in the region of £3.5m for Govou and £2m for Emerton.

I suppose more players should call, I was referring to the entire bench and reserve team. :wow:

I would say Heather is down right giddy about Runstrom.

I think he will be a worthy apprentice to McBride, and I am sure Heguson can show him a few things also. I would be more corn-fused about what is going on with Johns, except Mike mentioned something yesterday that seems to be playing out, which is that the whole thing was just a ruse for the purpose of.... motivating Johns? This will be interesting to see how it plays out.

So now we are after Govou and possibly Emerton, but I agree with Tom that we need one more (at least) solid player in the back, with my obvious choice being Gooch.

Great, so now I have traded in my World Cup watch for watching the Transfer Wire. This just is not good for my obsessive compulsive nature. Argh!
