    From Steve B on TFI, from a Florence newspaper (roughly translated):

    'Fulham are expected to renew their interest in Fiorentina central defender Tomas Ujfalusi in January. Tomas was considering a move to London in June this year but was told he must stay when the club were re-instated into Serie A. However, the 28 year old is still keen on a move to London and is hoping for an offer when the transfer window re-opens. Fiorentina are keen to pull in some much needed cash to pay off existing debts.'

    I think your second URL solves the mystery of who the guy was we wanted to sign before the window shut that his team didn't want to let go for the money.

    I'd still prefer the good looking TNT right-sided midfielder, and the equally good looking USA central defender, but Cookie isn't listening to me much recently.
