They're a few spots below us in the table, which means absolutely squat in this league. .500 at home (3-3-3), so we should get something out of this one. 'Member Eric Lichaj? He's still only 25 and has taken up residence on Forest's back line. Other than him, no names jump out at you from their roster. The question is, will we show up, or go through the current good half/bad half pattern that seems to be prevalent. Also depends upon who's healthy...and if Grant thinks Sean Kavanagh is still a viable option to start.

I'll be listening in, but I have no idea what's going on at the training ground or inside Grant's head.

At least we're not talking about Grant's tomb.

I'll give you a hint if you can tell me when the War of 1812 was.

As far as the match, initially thought a draw, but more than likely a 2 goal loss. That said a Fulhamish 3 points and calls for 'just give Grant the gig and be done with it' wouldn't be all that shocking. So in review it's going to be a win, loss, or draw o_O

An injury means no Dembele today.

Sounds like we played well in the 1st half but couldn't finish and/or generate enough clear cut chances. Then we conceded a corner & were outplayed in the 2nd half.

What exactly are you hoping to salvage? We haven't significantly lost pace since sacking Kit.

We just took 1 pt from 2 road games. Under Kit, we went 2-3-3 on the road for a total of 9 pts from 8. However, 6 of those came from beating 21st Bristol & 23rd Rotherham. Against teams outside of the relegation places we'd managed just 3 pts from 6. The exact same rate of return we just got under Grant.

You can't really say we look worse as we haven't played more than 1 good half all year. And let's not forget we lost our last 2 games under Kit while shipping 8 goals. That's a far cry from good form.

What we should be (and should have been) doing, is using this season to position the club to try and make a run next season. We got a lot of the players in back in the summer. Now we need to finish putting the management structure where they want it, minimize player defections and finish augmenting the squad where we're weak. Then next season we can look at restoring hopes & dreams.

You're both correct. We should blow this season off and start preparing for next season.

We've played just 19 matches of 46! We're 7 points from the playoffs and 6 from the relegation spots, we have everything to play for, but now after 4 weeks, we're putting in a stop gap to continue to solve our long time problems (which I absolutely agree with, I'm just pointing out the fact)
Lets hope Stuart Gray can solve some defensive woes, simplify things a bit, maybe we see some more leadership from Scott Parker and start to eek out a few wins over the Winter. Maybe another manager comes available and by the time Mardi Gras is in New Orleans, we'll be in the hunt.
    Come On (already) You Whites!
