Ok, I have now become my father. The jeans commercials they are running now with the two teens stripping out their clothes to go do the nasty is over the top in poor form and bad taste!

I have to change the channel now because it is nothing less than soft porn. I'm really disappointed in FSC right now as well as the advertiser for running garbage like that, it is not even artful, it is the blatant selling of sex on TV. What a bunch of creeps!

Ok, I am done. I will start a letter campaign straight away.

I became that way when I walked past an Abercrombie and Fitch store, looked at the models, and said to myself, No Way In Hell am I paying for squat in that store for anything for my son.

It's also not such a bad thing to become your father. Otherwise, middle aged frat boys would be authority figures.

Yeah, there's a reason I watch few shows live these days. Better to start 20-30 minutes late and be able to fast forward through the commercials.

    Nice one, Josh :D

speaking of FSC commercials, I see the ecko commercial with the bikini clad girl crawling on all fours has been replaced by a dozen bikini clad girls appratently doing laundry. Not quite sure of what the point of these two commercials are, but neither disturbs me nearly as much as FSC's commercials for violent video games.

Gee. I'm glad I didnt have to post that.

Sick and tired of being the 'Reactionary' on here.

It's totally out of bounds and I'm pissed I havent seen any kickback on the news shows or blogs.

I'll kick in my disgust first for Levi's and second for the broadcast channels airing the commercial. I watched the commercial through the first time naively thinking there would be some twist to the end of the commercial. RR hit the nail on the head when he described it as soft porn. Looks like Wrangler will be getting more of my business and it is not because I am a Brett Favre fan.

The one I am referring starts with the young man and woman confessing to all the lies they told one another in the hallway of an apartment building and ends up in some strangers apartment continuing the confessions while undressing each other with their intentions more than obvious.

No.. we're talking about them stripping off... piles of clothes on the floor, camera on the Levi's of course.

Lest my {and your} attitudes on this be regarded prudish, I fully disclose that the same happened exactly as the cinema arts portray it, EVEN BACK IN THE DAY! But we kept it to ourselves it was our delicious secret.

Having it used as advert fodder sorta blunts the sweet taste of the forbidden zone, doesnt it! Hundreds of thousands of recently pimple faced adolescent males must LOVE IT!
What's not acceptable is the message behind the message. Think "Pregnancy Pact'!

Sometimes, it's better to either agree or just say nothing, Don...

That's just off the top of my head, nothing specific in mind.

    heh...

I was totally floored when I saw that the first time. I had to look around the room to make sure my 13 year old daughter didn't just walk in. Sad.
Levi's Marketing is going down the crapper.
Their other similar commercial; it's the morning after, she's still asleep, don't wake her, toss on your Levi's and get out that door quick (with a cool jazz theme)... :x

my advice: turn off the tv. footie only has adverts during pre-game, half, and post-game.

while i don't agree with the content, it's not my place to ask that it be banned

The truth is the majority of commercials offend me (not in any sort of serious way but you know, they're crap) and especially on FSC. There's Guisseppe Franco, Wallbangers, Proactive - sort of cheap info-mercials. FSC is totally second rate other than they broadcast soccer that we cannot otherwise see.

You'd be surprised where those info-mercials pop up on various networks. GolTV is the same way because, like FSC, there's nothing to show in the morning unless there's a game - and not much reason to show anything because not many are watching in the morning.

Which is why you go with Setanta. No infomercials, just some rugby or Aussie rules to start off your morning. Nothing wakes you up like seeing some dude get jacked up while he's running off with the ball.

Love all the thoughts and glad I am not alone. Setanta, as Optimizer suggests, is definately the safe choice for footie viewing without having to turn it off. I hate that I should have to turn it off in the first place because companies like Levi Straus, from my home town of SF so go figure that anything goes, and Fox will play porn during the breaks. Sad really. I wouldn't advocate banning but the 'anything goes' mentality that is so pervasive in the media and Hollywood needs to be reshaped, IMHO.

Keep in mind that Setanta gets $15 per subscriber; FSC and GolTV get FAR less. That's why FSC is paying to get rated by Nielsen; they want to be able to sell REAL advertising.
