Hey Guys and Gals, we can vote for August on the Offal:

The candidates are Healey, Konchesky, Kamara, Dempsey, Smertin, and Bocanegra.

I didn't hesitate a second before voting for the Russian!

Without a question the Mad Russian gets my vote. Without his tireless work rate Fulham would not have earned the 4 points they have thus far.

A little surprised that Steven Davis isn't one of the candidates... Lawrie has continually talked him up and every match he has played in he's been pure quality. Maybe that is just me...

    The Konch.

Without him, total failure on the backline.

Had to go with Konchesky. I can't imagine what our back line would have looked like without him.

    Smertin for my vote.
    Konch a close second.

While Konchesky has been playing wonderfully in the back, Smertin has a sort of no nonsense playing style that I love from a midfielder. And sure his goals have been of pure luck, we can always use more of them!

note: I think a lot of the usual posters on the official site would be surprised that none of us picked either of the two Americans that were nominated. We're not quite as one-sided as many of them appear to think us to be.

Threw a vote Smertin's way. Glad to see the perceived bad history between him and Les Reed is water under the bridge. Tough vote because of Konch's play, a special shout out to Healy who if not for one of the worst calls I've seen v Boro would be getting a lot more votes.

Awesome! Though I didn't vote for him, I'm happy to see Deuce win.

I admit, I voted for Dempsey. I didn't expect him to win, but figured being in the top three would be a good confidence boost for him.

Well, it's that time again. Over on the offal you can vote for one of these dudes for Fans Player of the Month for September:

    Paul Konchesky
    Carlos Bocanegra
    Clint Dempsey
    Alexey Smertin

I actually voted for an American this time -- Captain 'los -- but had he been one of the nominees, I'd have voted for Steven Davis.

Funny, I was going to say that! Davis has been all over the park. Personally I would go with Dempsey again, then Konch.

I had to go with Carlito Bocanegra. I am sure he won't get it, but his play has been solid. You can always tell a central defender has a good game when you never hear his name other than "So and so clears the ball".

The only thing going against boca is that he is captain and I think he goes quiet at times. If he wasn't the skipper then the emphasis would not be on him to do this and he would be right up there. He is becoming a victim of his own success as we all expect him to be solid and have a good game.
