Just need to wait and see how long. It wouldn't shock me if Betts was done for the season, but hoping my fears are wrong. At least Mr. Sweatpants isn't around.

At least the window isn't closed but prices for strikers just went up.

Betts looks really bad, probably and ACL. Smith might be back sooner if nothing's torn.

Jeez, when it rains ... .

Like I said in the chatroom, if there is a silver lining, it's that Joronen is back with the club and hasn't gone out on loan. He and Lonergan should mean that we don't have to splash out for a new keeper or -- shudder shudder -- call back our useless Dutchman.

As long as we don't lose Lonergan we should be fine in goal. If Smith is out for a while it will force us to change our attack, which might not be such a bad thing. The whole 'feed the big man' thing hasn't set the world on fire so far. I wouldn't mind seeing Dembele and McCormack from the start and press a bit higher up the field. Although with the way McCormack has been playing I might give Cauley a chance too.

Smith is out 4-6 weeks. The club didn't say how long Betts would be out, only that his injury was more severe.

Let's be honest, our forwards haven't done squat so far this season. I'm not sold on Dembele yet. He's had several opportunities to stake a claim for more minutes and hasn't exactly seized them. Woodrow has done a few things here and there, but hasn't set the world on fire either. Why do we have Taggart? Time to see if he can play? Should we recall the second Greek tragedy? At least he can make penalities. Like CC mentioned elsewhere, young Cairney has become this season's Tim Hoogland. And we all know how well THAT worked out.... I'm ready to give some other guys a crack at it up front. But I'll wager Kit's not.

Marcus started for the U-21's today against Toons and kept a clean sheet! Played the full match...(fingers crossed).

Betts played the full 90 against Stoke U21's in a 1-1 draw, BUT saved a Dominic Teliford penalty.
