We have been drawn away to Liecester in the FA cup. Tie of the round will be Liverpool vs Arsenal.

I am happier to see us play a team from the championship...it seems we have bad luck playing teams from League 2.

I remember John's debut against Liecester...lets hope we can make a cup run this season!

Well, if I learned anything from the Carling Cup, the game certainly is not a "gimmie" for Fulham.

But I feel "bad" for some of those other EPL teams. Liverpool hosting Arsenal? Man U against Aston Villa? Portsmouth vs. Wigan Athletic? Everton vs. Blackburn? I do NOT envy any of those 8 teams' draws.

It's great - the more top teams that go the more chance for us.

I seem to recall a song that goes "we will folllow our fulham - over land and sea - AND LIECESTER - we shall follow our fulham, onto victory". The reason becomes obvious....

Leicester has never been a happy hunting ground for us in the cup. We have never beaten them in either FA or League cup.

    FA
    1921-22 A 0-2
    1923-24 A 0-4
    1959-60 A 1-2
    1973-74 H 1-1
    A 1-2

    League Cup (Worthington)
    1999-00 A 3-3 (Lost 3-0 on pens)

Records are there to be broken.

It's going to be different this time around. What's like the rhythm to the song, I'm going to be singing it all day if I learn it!!!

Indeed, i before e except after c! To be fair, i've mixed up the spelling and got it wrong only 75% of the time.

The tune is to land of hope and glory with the "and Leicester" shouted

Land of Hope and Glory,- We shall follow our Fulham
Mother of the Free, - Over land and sea
    ----------------------------- (and leicester)
How shall we extol thee, - We shall follow our Fulham
Who are born of thee? - On to vi - ic - to - ry

It is a common crowd chant around the English football leagues.
