I just spoke to an old friend. She's been down on her luck recently; RIF'd from her job and has ongoing health problems.

She had, though, one of those moments that you read about but few experience. She was visiting a Homeopathic doctor and during her appointment, the doc went into a grand mal seizure and stopped breathing.

She resuscitated him and kept his heart and breathing going until the squad arrived. I told her that was a gift to her as well as to the doc.

In other events: some good holiday news in an Ohio factory town:

    Shuttered bakery reopens, rehires workers

Archway made good cookies, good to see the product will come back. IMO, there was probably more to it than the previous owners just walking away. But it's good those employees got some hope back. And cheers to Lance for giving them that.

As a kid, I loved the Archway oatmeal raisin cookies. I'm glad they're back

Great stories, 'fog. And it's especially good to see a food supplier in control of the factory rather than a bunch of bankers. I love Archway cookies also!

Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas, Statler.
