Is it just my failing eyes, or has Jozy lost some baby fat? Two very good goals; I especially enjoyed the give and go for the second one.

Dude looks the part right now - I agree, HD, nice finish on the second. Still, he bounced off defenders on his first goal - fantastic strength and 'non-flopping' ability. Villareal would probably bite their hand off to have him back for their promotion push this year - bad move selling him.

Thanks Barry. A young player we're all worried about amid the Rangers fallout is Alejandro Bedoya and looks like he is going back to the Swedish league champs and hopefully some playing time.

Altidore nets two more goals in AZ win

    From Soccer By Ives

    "Jozy Altidore can't stop scoring.

The U.S. Men's National Team forward scored two more goals today, both of the quality variety, in AZ Alkmaar's 3-1 win against Heracles. That gives him four in two matches, and gives him an outstanding start to the season."

Highlights of both goals can be viewed from the link.

There is nothing spectacular about either of Jozy's second set of goals but they are very professional. One off an excellent run and the other from the kind of every day shot you expect a professional forward to take and hit.

Since we've been down a week, we missed an opportunity to discuss some yanks joining the same team. I think it's always beneficial to have two national team members on the same squad. However, I just see myself pulling for Stoke City.

Stoke fans voted Geoff Cameron man of the match in his debut against Arsenal. I didnt see the whole game but I didnt see Cameron do anything spectacular, just a solid premier league debut. Wow how many teams' fans would vote an American as man of the match on his debut when he didnt do anything worthy of highlights? Seriously. Plus they have turned making fun of Arsne Wenger into an art form.

Just posted it in the Yanks abroad thread. Oh well, I'll let it stand as its own thread...but may move it to the new Yanks Abroad thread.

Postive: it gets him out of a bad situation and joins him with a fellow International teammate, Cameron.
    Negative: It's Stoke City.
