Dallas can't defend Parker and Hill. Kidd/Terry are too old/bad at defense, Barea is too small and Carlisle doesn't trust Roddy Buckets.

I mean, Duncan was held to four points and Dallas still lost.

    And Najera is an idiot.

    Frustrating.

What a way to silence the critics! A dominating win where everybody contributed. The problem is we're going to get crushed on the road because we're a switch flipping team who only feels like it needs to play well in desperate situations.

The good thing about last night was Bynum raised his trade stock a bit. I know a lot of fans think he could become some perennial all star, but we need a point guard and Chris Duhon isn't going to cut it.

I didn't become a critic until about a month ago. And if you had watched the team during the last month, then you'd know they deserve all the criticism they get.

Mavs are choke artists. No matter how much talent they have, they can never seem to put it together in the playoffs. Maybe Dirk should leave Dallas to see if his luck changes. Or maybe he could learn to control his game with 2 fouls LOL.

Congrats to San Antonio. I need a shower after saying that.

The Mavs relied on jump shots too much, something I have seen many times over the past 10 years once it becomes the playoffs. They were so aggressive during Game 5 and it all went out the window.

Then Carlisle decides to bench Roddy, who was on fire and attacking the hoop, for Jason Terry who was 0-for-5 heading into the fourth quarter.

This summer shall be interesting between Dirk possibly opting out of his contract (I don't see him passing on that much money though) and Erick Dampier's weird contract which will allow Dallas to possibly get a big name via a sign-and-trade.

The delusional fan in me hopes for D-Wade or dare I say LeBron, but it will more than likely end up being Joe Johnson or some other second tier guy who relies on jump shots.

Good fucking rebound for Gasol and then a great put back to win a series.

Good job closing it out on the road and not needing to come back home. Awesome.

    NBA Playoff Rant

**RANT ALERT** I consider myself a "casual" NBA, which means i don't watch games in the regular season (think I saw a quarter or two), but keep up w/highlights, news, etc. However, would be interested in the playoffs if the schedule wasn't so F#%ED UP!!!!!! HEY DAVID STERN and the other morons in charge of scheduling, you have LOST the PLOT. 3 of the remaining 4 series have compelling matchups, but since there are 3/4 days in between games it ruins the natural flow. The Lakers/Jazz series is a perfect example, they played Sunday then Tuesday and now don't play again until Saturday. 3 days off is beyond ridiculous and kills interest (out of sight, out of mind). **RANT OVER**

Agree SoCal. Cavs had a game Monday and dont have another until tonight.

If you want another rant, I could go on about how the Cavs cant shoot free throws or rebound. I support the Cavs, I have to, but I am disgusted by pro players that cant do the basics like free throws, tip-ins, and rebounds. That all comes down to discipline. It is hard to support a team that so often disgusts you. Side note: I give Shaq a pass on the free throws as he obviously has some medical disorder that doctors have yet to label.

Mo, your Shaq sidenote is classic

From the highlights I saw this morning it looked like the Cavs got the messages on all fronts and took the Celtics behind the woodshed.

Los Suns look like they are finally going past HD's Spurs. When some back-up point guard scores 23 points in the 4TH QUARTER, things are looking up.

Looks like the Suns are the team to beat out West. They have an insane amount of weapons and two superstars, I fear that we will lose to them in the next round....

Of course we have to get there first. These 3 days off should've helped us and we should be able to take care of business. Of course, its a road game and I'm not too confident of a win.

I must bitch at whoever created tonight's sports TV schedule. My Canadiens are on at 4 followed by the Lakers at 5 and then the Mariners at 6. I guess my thumb will get great exercise as I'm flipping through the channels all night.

and the Lakers should walk against Utah. It obviously takes a blackjack or a chainsaw to four a Utah player with the game on the line. Boozer was almost bisected.

West: Is Mike D'Antoni still coaching the Suns?? In all the build up out here the Suns ability to play some defense kept getting brought up. The Lakers looked like they were running a layup drill. Same old Suns.

**Just an aside, LeBron better think twice about going to New York if D'Antoni is still the coach. His teams can't guard a mailbox**

East: The old guys from Boston are as healthy as they've been since the beginning of the season, combined with Rajon Rondo who is their BEST player at the point and Orlando got a dose of reality. Still think the Magic will win, but tonight is a must and it looks like a long series to get to the Fake Show.

I know this is a soccer site and all but it's funny that no one wanted to comment on the crap fest that was game 7.

Seriously, Boston blew a 13pt lead to a team that shot just over 30 percent?!?. The Lakers won game 7 after just shooting over 30 percent?!? Kobe was MVP after his 6 for 24 final night!?!

Quick poll question -- Which game was more of a car wreck: Game 7 or Eng/Alg?

RIP Manute Bol, one of my favorite players from my youth, and by all accounts a good man. You will be missed.
