Whoever Roy plays in this match best shut down Fabregas. Not to mention that Vermalen fellow who leads the team in goals scored.

Would like to see some Riise and The Evidence action. And some heart.

Thankfully the match is on Saturday which means I'll be able to watch it!

    ...and it's live on FSC.

I'll be happy if the squad pulls it together after last weekend and earns anything, be it 1 point or 3 points. I forget who the Arse played last weekend, but they gave 'em a good woodshedding.

    COYW!!

I would hope that the B team's performance in the CC would be a source of inspiration to the regulars, but I thought the same thing after the Sofia match. Nothing other than an all out effort for 90 minutes is what's required and frankly after last week's result the starting XI should be chomping at the bit.

It will be interesting to see if Clint is held out due to the dead leg.

glad to hear it's on FSC. I have a gig at noon and one at 2, so it'll have to be night-time DVR viewing accompanied by a VERY dry Martini [or twelve."

My latest attempt at "Gone With the Wind" is up on the front page, by the way.

Wigan was on the wrong end of the thumping from Arsenal last weekend.

Hodgson's style works well against Arsenal's. Danny stuck in well last year in the win, so given his current fury, I hope he doesn't earn a red for his troubles this go round. Good defensive slog and improved display of heart and grit from the Whites will net a 1-1 draw.

Just a heartfelt, quick, PISS ON ARSENE AND HIS BUNCH OF CRYBABIES before I go to bed.

Hope someone weariing white kicks Van P***y, Bendtner, or some other softy from their team good and hard on Saturday. The cost of a yellow card to install fear in them? I'll take that trade right away.

Funny stat about Arsenal: they don't leave London until November 7. And they haven't left London since Sept. 12.

According to SSN, Arshavin should be fit for Saturday [thanks a friggin heap]. Van Persie, like Almunia, is a game day decision, and Walcott will probably be ready to sit on the bench, but we won't see him unless we're three goals down.

I just hope we try hard and show some spirit, I have no delusionions about gaining any points from this match, but it would be the epitome of Fulhamish to loose to wolves and beat arsenal.

I haven't had a chance to watch Roy's preview, but the player updates on the Times Online fantasy soccer website say that Davies "has suffered a recurrance [sic] of his foot injury" and won't play this weekend. Also says AJ's shoulder is acting up and he won't play either.

    Well, that sucks.

Also, Nevland is out as well.

With both AJ and Nevland reported to be out, a Kamara and Zamora pairing could be interesting.

Maybe a possible sub appearance for EJ as well.

The team's unpredictable form has me going into this match very uncertain.

Hope the central midfield pairing can get the engine moving for this one...

After all the stick he rec'd following the CC match (which supposedly wasn't even televised), it would be hilarious if EJ came in and netted a couple of goals in a win.

COYW....and give 'em hell Eddie (if you get on the pitch).

From Van P***y's mouth, he dives like the captain of a submarine.

God I can't stand the guy. What a waste of space and talent. And oxygen. If it isn't anyone from Fulham who does this, I don't care, but any defender that kicks him Tony Adams style will warm the fires of this former defender's heart.

very disappointing about Davies and Nevland. I dont mind so much AJ. As much as AJ is a first rate player, Kamara deserves some starts. His pairing with Zamora will be interesting to see. I also would like Gera in there. COYW's make Wenger whine, complain, and make excuses.

I'd gladly watch video of Mike eating his hat!!!!

However, something tells me his chapeau is safe this week.

Why did Kamara stay on the bench? This was the perfect game for him. Nice and open with plenty of chances to get in behind the defenders.

Zamora continues to be crap at finishing chances. This is the 2nd week in a row that he missed a one on one chance. Last week hhe beat the offside trap and had a horrible touch and had to lay it off to Kamara and this week he tries to do a bicycle kick volley and hits Gallas. Time to start Kamara.

We did quite well. We were pretty shit defensively at times, but we attacked wwith everything we had. AJ must want to beat the shit out of Mannone.AJ could've had a hat trick today and really it was all Mannone and nothing much AJ could do. Good job, but we need to start finishing chances if we're to avoid a relegation battle.

Just finished 0-1, really a kick in the gut to put in a performance that good and not come away with a point. One bad giveaway by Konch was punished. As we were saying in the chat room, too bad Almunia wasn't playing because no way he makes all those saves.

Curse that Mannone. What Joe said -- that one header by Zamora in the 75th minute, down and to the keepers left, is a goal inf Almunia is in there.

I'm disappointed, but not really discouraged. I thought Zamora had a very good game, unfortunately Mannone was wearing Superman's cape under his shirt today. And one brain fart by PK and we lose. That's the Prem for you.

    October fixtures
    A Sun 04 15:00 West Ham United
    H Mon 19 20:00 Hull City
    H Thu 22 20:05 Roma
    A Sun 25 15:00 Manchester City
    H Sat 31 15:00 Liverpool

I'm a little nervous about the Prem fixtures -- they are a tough nut on the whole. We played well today, but we need to pick it up a notch on the whole, or we could be looking at three points for the month.
