France v. Germany and Italy v. Spain...it's all very Baroque, isn't it?

The first Champions League semis without an English side since 2002-03 when there were three Italian teams (they probably cheated).

Every once in awhile you have to give the Devil his due, The "Special One" can flat out get his teams to play at their peak. Barca looked like the bully that got sand kicked in their face. Can Barca win 2-0 at home? Sure they can, but Inter have to believe now.

One small aside is this Mario Balotelli (19 years old), not sure who's been talking into his ear, but someone better knock the giant chip off the kid's shoulder. EDIT: I guess Matarezzi (the scumbag) attacked the kid in the tunnel for flipping off the fans and tearing his jersey off after the game.

Well, I was expecting to get beat by 4 or 5 goals by "the best team in the world". I mean "Messi is amazing" and we can't possibly deal with him.

    Hahahahahahahahaha!

Two sad facts for those of us who follow teams owned and managed by mere mortals,

    1. It takes a special kind of genius to manage a squad where a hundred million Euros worth of talent DON'T suit up on match day -- to keep them fresh, committed, and ready to jump in at top level when needed.

    2. The two managers in the world who EXCEL at this difficult task are irritating to most fans, but they are the two very best managers in the world because they can do it season after season -- even when personnel changes completely. They are The Special One and Sir Alex Ferguson. No football manager in the world is in the same class as those two, and their probably not matched in any sport anywhere.

Doesn't mean I like their arrogant asses, but, as the redoubtable SCJ says, some times ya gotta give the devil his due.

    INTER.

That was good and probably managed to keep many people's interest in the entire Champions League peaked.

As someone in a blog said, "Maybe now, the press will get off Barca's dick."

For the neutral fan Lyon in the final would brutal to the point of not even needing to bother watching, they simply aren't good enough attack wise. Ribery's red was foolish and well deserved. The idiot for Lyon who was shown the door (Toulan?) isn't deserving of getting on the bus home. !0 v 11 and Lyon could have gotten the nil-nil.

Robben is deserving to play in the final, he produced the magic again (even though Meuller looked like he deflected it).

2 out of my Top 3 ain't bad!

Really didin't like Wolfsburg this season, and glad Our Whites disposed of them fairly easily.

Flip the script for me on the Final. I bought an INTER Shirt (figured I could wear it for our Academie as well), so I'll be pulling ever so slightly for them...........maybe. Either way, I'm not gonna lose.
