Well folks , this is my first report live from Cork after spending the day in London drinking and seeing Fulham win.
The game was very tight in reality and if Pompy had scored first we might have seen a different scoreline , but thankfully we scored first .
Dempsey was outstanding today along with Arron Hughes , both worked hard and showed real skill under pressure. The only downside to the game was seeing a woefull perfomence by Zamora , what a waste of money he is turning out to be.
Anyway Uncle Woy saw sense and bought on Eric , and the rest his history.
Good management , I doubt that very much , we all know Nevland is a better player than Zamora but Woy is stubborn and wont be proved wrong.
My man of the match , Arron Hughes.

Corky, thanks for the report and sounds like it was a good day at Cottage. Keep the reports coming, it is the only way many of us feel even remotely connected to the place.

Corky, it was nice to meet you at the Pub.

My patience with Zamora is wearing thin. Ran into a bunch of guys wearing viking helmets after the game with Nevland across the front (took a pic, will try to post it). Safe to say they were off for a great night of marauding, plundering, and drinking. What a great game for them to come to (assuming this was a one off trip). I think after his peformance on Saturday Woy may have second thoughts about starting Bobby Z.

I thought my road trip was a bit long, but yours takes the cake! With any luck, I'll catch a few more beers with you at the Cottage.

Great to my good man and it was a pleasure to share a few drinks with you beforehand. Hope you enjoyed the match as much as I did and you got back home in good time.

Anytime you are going to a match let me know, we'll meet up. As for Corky...now his weekend trips are COMMITMENT.

Mike, as mentioned under the 'Fulhman v. town full of seaman' thread, really appreciate the hospitality. Let me know if you come out Henley way (especially for the Regatta or the Henley Festival).

Need to pull some strings with the big boss (aka Mrs. Sullivan) and may hit the West Brom game later this month (or the Arsenal away game) . I'll let you know.

    Cheers!

Well lads & lasses , it's just turned midnight and I am home from the West Brom game. This game I really enjoyed , we were never in trouble , infact we were so much better than them it was slightly embarrising at times .
I cant pick out one player today that did not do his bit for the team .
If you saw Fulham v Man U in the week, well this was like that but we were Man U today.
As you can tell I am happy with the players , both the front two scored , the midfield created chances and the back four were solid.
    Excellent stuff.
I will be at the Arse next week , if we are anything like today , we wont lose

I feel shameful for complaining about my commute. Its a walk in the park (well actually part of it literally is) compared to dedicated Fulham ironman Corky.

Thanks for the account Corky. Can you really "walk off" two pork chops for breakfast? I would like some proof.

Got back safe and sound again tonight , this was a game I really did not enjoy , too many Season Ticket holders sold their ticket on to non Fulham fans. It was not the usual away game atmosphere .
The game itself was ok , Fulham never really looked like losing, BZ and AJ done well up front , battled away all game. The American fella Dempsey played well again , but Murphy seemed slightly off the pace , does he need a rest ?
Very solid at the back as usual .
With a bit of luck we could have nicked a win.

RE Just got back from the game

This is about what I expected from my first trip to Emirates -- 60,000 supporters quietly watching the gunners football ballet while pondering the financial ramifications of losing their place in the Champions League to Villa. I just hope the extra wide stadium seats don't go with Theo Walcott in the summer transfer window. Comfiest away section in the whole of England.
