Time to go on this one. Let's see how important Roy considers this match. I watched Sky Sports to see if we were recalling any/all of our loans, and heard nothing, so I'm assuming that we'll have only our usual squad for this match.

Wednesday are comfortably mid-table after tiptoeing around relegation the last two seasons. Young Frankie Simek returned from a long injury and suffered a hamstring pull in his second match back, so we probably won't see him on Saturday. Wednesday have shipped a lot of goals so far, and have a goal difference of -12, but they've lost only twice at home and are +7 in that mix. As for their recent form, they've won only 1 of their last 5. Marcus Tudguy and Leon Clarke are their leading scorers.

With Wednesday tough at home and us a little stringy on the road, I think that Roy might use this match to get us a little more agressive away from the Cottage. Here's who I'd start:

    -------------------------- Tha Big Aussie -------------------
    Stoor ------- Hangeland ------ Baird ---------- Kallio
    ---- Dempsey ---- Etuhu ---- Brown ---- Gray ------
    ------------- AJ ------------ Z-Bird ----------------

Subs: Zuberwhoosits; PK, Andreassen, Hughes, Briggs, Davies, Nevland

I'd like to see Brown play under Roy's set up. I'd like to see AJ and Z-Bird get some goals for their confidence. And, I'd just like to SEE Gray.

Score: Wednesday 1 Fulham 2 [Johnson, Zamora]

With a full week's rest on either end, my hunch is we'll see all the usual suspects, except perhaps a run-out for Stoor, another shot for Gera to prove he deserves to be a starter, and a rest for guys who are banged-up or otherwise unhealthy (Bullard, Zamora, Hangman).

Clarke has scored 5 goals in only 11 games, and their defender Beevers receives a lot of good press, supposedly off to bigger and better things. I have faith that Wednesday will underperform, usually that is a pretty safe bet.

    My lineup
    ------------------Zuber...
----Stoor----Hughes ----- Baird (Oh my gosh, I just said that?!?) -- Kallio
    -----Deuce ----Andreasen-------Etuhu ----Gera
    ----------------Zamora ------Nevland

Aussie Mark, Brede, PK, Gray, Murphy, Bully, A Johnson

AJ seems to me like he has confidence, give him the week off. So does Zamora, but his runs and sense are too important to sit him. Zuberbuhler needs a start sometime, Hangeland needs a break (and besides, sitting him may hide him from the vultures sitting overhead. Especially the ones in Arsenal jerseys.) Murphy and Bully are old, grey and balding, so give them the week off. See what some young ones can do.

Yes I know Bully isn't balding, but I think Murphy took the hair off his head and gave it to Jimmy.

    hahaha, nice one, stevem19.

business in front, party in the back.

oh yeah, and i don't see FFC dropping this cup match for some reason. a 1-1 draw and a replay is in order (wait, do they still do replays??).

Wayne Brown. I've seen some very good words about him on the offal in month's past. He's a midfielder with a cannon for a leg. I think he played last season against Bristol Rovers.

As this game is the weekly fixture, I suspect Woy will keep a mostly settled squad, though perhaps Baird, Andreason, Etuhu, and Nevland will see action, either starting or as 60 min subs.

I could see Murphy and Davies getting a rest; they've played every game. Other than that, it's anyone's guess.

I think this could be safety first to be honest, get though to the next round whilest resting a few players.
I think Baid will start with Hangerland on the bench, give Nevland a run out, mybe a few others rested
This game could be a banana skin so we have to be careful,I think we will be too strong for them-fingers crossed

I think we lose this one. Hopefully not, but it's away and up north. The Wednesday aren't that bad.

Someone on TIFF pasted a Ray Lewington quote saying that there won't be many changes to the squad. Makes sense, considering that the players will be on normal-ish rest. I'm guessing Bullard still out, and Etuhu has earned another start (as much as I'd like to see Andreasen or even Brown feature).

Track record would say a loss. Road form would say a tie. Given that we have no league matches this week and it sounds like most of the starters will remain in the side, I'll say 2-1 FFC. But bench more than 5, and I'll go with 2-1 the other way.

Anyone know if GJ will be available for the match, or will I just have to catch the matchcast report and final when I get home?

he did FA Cup and League Cup last season, but he missed a couple of league matches so far, so ... who knows. I'm going to check it out and go for links in the chatroom also.

Fulham Lineup: Schwarzer, Stoor, Hughes, Hangeland, Konchesky, Julian Gray, Etuhu, Murphy, Dempsey, AJ, Zamora

So pretty close to the first XI.

Nice to win an away game in a cup. Here's to more success in rd 4. How much if any role do you give our top half position in playing more starters than subs and going for the W?

Do we need to cap the chat room. Turnout has been great, but seems the site keeps bogging down or crashing as a result.

The Blue Poo drew 1-1 against Southend United at the Bridge, conceding the equalizer in the 90th minute.

Great for the team to win away and avoid a replay. Great for F5 to get back into the goal scoring column. Great for the die-hards who traveled. Aside from the chat crashing a great day all-around. Does anyone know when the next draw will take place?

tomorrow possibly. Good match, plus I got the score right [and half of the scorers]. When you consider the home efforts by Chelsea, WBA, and Citeh, this is already a good FA Cup year.

It was nice of Dempsey to contribute half of their GK's highlight reel.
