Well the time has come,it's Sunday 28th and it's time to take on the Chelsea at the cottage and the vibe is good!
it's at times like this I thank the gods that I found Fulham(or they found me-not sure which?) and I'm currently at work on night shift beaming smile on my face and pride in my heart-and there's only ooooo 11 hours to go
this club is soo damm special-you've got the hard core Fulham born fans, you've got the Old Bugger cum Lateley's(me) and you've got the greater Fulham family spreading the love and keeping the faith worldwide 8) (you guys) and we are all in this togther and are as important as each other and loving every minute!
so i feel lucky, blessed and greatful to be going to the game with season ticket in hand and I know you all want to be there as well(you will be in spirit, the vibe is bigger than 25,000 people in the stadium trust me on this)
so win lose or draw in seat 176 H7 their will be a short round nearly bald northener who's had no sleep and will be going nuts and singing his head off(sounding like Wallace from Wallace and Gromit lol) have a little laugh at him but remember he's one of us(it's me lol)

 COME ON YOU FULHAM

I've been up since 3 am and just checking the match previews. I still managed to stand at Terri's request.

However, I must make a confession. When I went to London a few summers back and I was just becoming a Fulham fan, the cottage was closed, so my wife and I went up the road and toured stamford bridge. to this day, I'm ashamed I did this. However, I just didn't know any better. Next time I'm over, this mistake will not happen. I won't even get off the bus.

I tried to get into the chatroom with two different browsers for the entire first half. I had trouble on Boxing Day as well. I give up! It is broke.

Clint Freakin' Dempsey. That one really did feel lost, so what a glorious point. Unbeaten in 9, and against 3 of the big 4, we've taken 5 pts in 3 matches!!! COYW!!

What a finish. Dempsey with the second goal, then Chelsea nearly scores again less than a minute later, but someone (didn't see who) blocked a shot.

The Mrs. response on hearing Fulham snatched points away from Chelsea in the 89th minute:

    "How very unfulhamish!"

Perhaps she is mistaken, because she is certainly not wrong, and it is precisely Fulhamish but after watching so many scored against us in the last ten minutes last season I certainly concur with what she means.

    He scores with his left
    He scores with his right
    That boy Dempsey
    Makes Drogba look shite!

Seems he scores with his head too.

I peeked at the comments on the offal.
I see most commenters nibble at the edges of the Fulham success story, but see it in terms of tactics.
I wont bother offering this on there... they are all such 'experts', ya know.

It's much more than 'tactics'. Roy has executed the core principle of good coaching; the coherent team. Once the team is comfortable anything is possible.

I'd go easy on the striking corps, too. As often is the case, the best team play starts at the back and works its way forward. Not in given games, but in overall attack and counter vision.

How lucky am I to see this happen on TWO teams I follow... and in the next MLS season, you'll see by how the Crew does if it's primarily due to coaching or the players.

The match was quite 'unfulhamish'. I was jumping around like a complete nutter when Fulham scored both of their goals. I must admit that I thought Fulham was done like dinner when Fat Frank got the second, but Woy's Fulham side has a tendency to pleasantly surprise the fans this season.

Every player out there today ran their socks off and it was a good day to be a Fulham fan. A good result to carry us into the new year...
