Even if this offer were still on the table, don't we already have like eleven right backs?

No thanks on Nolan - he's like Bullard except thuggish from playing at Bolton.

Megson's quote that multiple agents have contacted him claiming to represent Jimmy is pretty interesting. Not incredibly relevant I guess, but just interesting that he doesn't have a set agent. Is he playing the field, seeing who gets him the best deal?

Hehe no prob. I was just amused that the Bullard-to-Bolton posts kept chugging along after I posted the link.

Al-Citeh have reportedly bid 120 million Euros for Kaka. Holy crap, that's a lot of money.

And a salary of a 1/2 million pounds/wk. Not sure if Steinbrenner moved to Abu Dhabi or Scott Boras starting representing footballers.

I don't know, but I just want to point out from this article they're thinking Fulham's looking into getting Doncaster's Brian Stock as a Bullard replacement.

Seriously, Brian Stock? Of Doncaster? OK, so he was crucial in getting the team to the Championship. But as a replacement of Bullard? Really?

Caicedo can play -- A LOT. He's high on Hughes's charts, but he's an Ecuadorian so that means he's NOT a Brazilian, so the Arabs that own Citeh don't rate him. If we can get him, I'm all for it. The boy can bulge the old onion bag.

Off topic as far as Fulham is concerned, but if you were able to listen to The Football show, on Sirius w/ Charlie Stiletanno (sp?) and Giorgio Chinaglia, they got an interview w/ Umberto Gandini, a muckety muck at AC Milan, and he put none other than Kaka on the phone. He said a little about why he said no to more money than is imaginable, and he has so much class and dignity about his business that I feel better following this crazy game today. How many people would do that and not engage in remorseless capitalism? Who would have really blamed him if he had? It was a great interview, and I bet Ricky Kaka never has to buy a meal or a drink (if he ever should partake) in red parts of Milan for all of his life. Can you really put a price on that?

Delph seems high on Roy's list. He went to see him play last weekend. It is interesting much of the rumor mill is regarding YOUNG players. This may mean Roy plans on hanging out with the fellas and Mo for awhile at the Cottage. Good news for us if it is so.

Sure, but you'd have to carry a pad around with you all the time to write all that stuff down. :D

(You cannot, however, put a price on how much nicer Milan is than Manchester.)

And Madrid is even nicer this time of year. Kaka's a hell of a player, and he's a genuinely generous guy, but if his daddy whispers in his ear that Jesus wants him to play in all white, there he goes. You read it here last.

Anybody notice that the only Fulham player to go in or out so far is Bouazza swapping loan locations? It's Jan 22, and NOTHING is happening. And, with the exception of Spurs and Man City, nobody seems to be buying -- including sides like Villa and Everton who have solid European possibilities. The money crunch is real, folks.

But yes, point taken. Everyone seems hesitant to shell out the cash. And in this economy can you blame them?

On top of that, Roy's got a set of players he likes playing the style he wants and has the club in the top half of the table, so there's no reason for him to go too far out of his way to buy or sell.
