    First choice is Dempsey.

Second choice is Davies. I'm willing to support whoever FUSA collectively decides on, though.

I voted for Davies for two reasons:

    1) What Mike said, and
    2) I don't what Fulham USA to be able to be pegged as the "Americans" fan club--sponsoring a non-American indicates we are Fulham fans first and always.

Voted for Simon as well, but will be buying a share or two no matter who we get.

    Blimey!

Looks like we have a Yank who we won't get to sponsor and an according to some nearly gone on transfer, brilliant midfielder leading the pack.

    Simon says, "What's a FUSA??"

Think he was referring to Bullard who is 2nd in the polls.

As a Texan, my vote is pretty obvious. My 2nd would be Davies. I had yet to discover FUSA this time last year, so how does this work? Do we make a donation? Are we guaranteed a player to sponsor since we've had one previously (even though he's left FFC)? Stuff like that.

I think we dont have to worry about the second part. We sponsored McBride two years and there was a total lack of McBride feature articles on here. The site has always been about Fulham with a perspective 'from the US' not especially 'ABOUT the US'.

If Mikey is right, and if Dempsey's jersey is already spoken for, I'd go for Paintsil. He's a great player, adventurous, fun to watch, and he's from only the second country to declare independence from Great Britain -- I hope you know who the first one was.

So, I'm now beating the "if not Dempsey" drum from Paintsil. If we do sponsor it, I think we should pressure FFC to SPELL HIS NAME RIGHT!

Tough decision without Clint. I went with Brede in a coin toss over Davies. I don't think we can go wrong with either of them.

After yesterday's match, I'm siding with the 'Bhoy. If Deuce is taken, I vote for the tall Texan. For MOM yesterday, I would also vote for Brede over Murphy. Put the defense that he played together with the game's only goal and it's a no brainer.

If Dempsey isn't an option then the Hangman sounds like a great choice to me.

I too voted for Dempsey before I read Mike's post. Hangman works for me also. On another note, I think Eddie going to Cardiff is really good for him. I don't know how much it will help Fulham. I don't know if he will ever make it with the whites, but I think he will play well for Cardiff and will help him possibley for the national team and maybe if Cardiff come up next year he will make a move to stay or if he plays out of his mind and finally plays with confidence to match the ability we know he has, he could make it with us.

Ag; Mike would be better at giving the particulars, but if we do get a sponsorship there will be 50 "shares" sold. They won't last very long (seems Ironhead's lasted around 10-14 days), but the cool thing was there was a big scoreboard on the homepage letting everyone know how many shares were left. Buying a share(s) was really easy w/some great prizes going to a few lucky shareholders (they grand prize being a autographed jersey).
