Completely agree. With the Dempsey, Diarra, Dembele, Duff, Petric, Ruiz, Riise, Hangeland and Hughes that's a team that could've done something and been a blast to watch. It does suck. I honestly think if I was a player I would want to be a part of making something rather than joining the best, but that probably explains why I could never be a professional athlete. Jol is a big name coach and he seems satisfied with Fulham, why arent the players - even for just one more year.

Justin, I feel your pain and it's my number one frustration about the world's most popular sport. Our American upbringing gives us the hope that our professional sports teams have a chance at a title, even if it's just a glimmer of hope. I've been a Portland Trail Blazer fan since I was 5, and while I've seen only one NBA title in my lifetime there is still hope that they can reach the mountain top again. In the Prem, it's a caste system, and you either decide to pump in hundreds of millions in order to try to win, or forget about it.

Mo, I think the players are surrounded by agents and friends that get in the players' ears. I honestly believe that the players see how the big leagues work, and only by getting to Madrid or ManUre, etc. can they say they've had an elite career.

So FFC sells one of its top players for a ridiculous amount of money. And after a number of years developing and grooming said player.

    So.... it's Wednesday?

Ok this sums up a Fulham fans lot in life. Not the "F##k You" part, the rest of the lyrics. Sorry I couldnt find the G rated version. Take a listen; it'll make you feel better.

Rumors swirling that the fee was more than the $15 million release clause, and that it could of ranged from the 19 to 23 million range (depending on performance).

Don't remember where, but I saw a report earlier (or maybe heard it on Sky SN) that Tottenham bid 15M, Manure came in with a late bid and THFC trumped them with 19M (which goes to 23M if they make CL).

Ugh. Another Top Fulham member getting sold to Man-U (The Dallas Cowboys of English Football.... clueless sheep are ManU fans just due to force of marketing) would have indeed been pain. It does kind of suck being the resident farm team of the EPL.

But Spurs isn't much of an improvement, but if there was more cash, then all the better.

Except Utd actually, you know, win championships (says the Cowboys fan). I'd probably call them the New York Yankees, myself.

While the Yankees *could* apply to the Red Devils, I prefer to slap that label onto Chelsea. They spend ridiculous amounts of money to get a bunch of players who are on the tail-end of their prime (Or just spend a lot of money) and everyone but their own fans despises them with the intensity of a thousand suns.

Cowboys Fans (Of the non-Texan, not really informed variety) tend to be drawn into a cult of personality based off of past achievements (the 70's, the Triplets-Era), not because they are any good. It's that Media-Cult that I feels applied to Man U better than Chelsea (As even commentators can't stand those Trolls living under the Bridge).
