    I'm not sure MLS agreed to the fee, but this is very simliar to when Preston North End wanted Taylor Twellman. New England declined the offer.

    Seems like there needs to be an agreement between the Club and the League for a transter to be completed.

    It has now been almost 72 hours since Fulham released a statement regarding Andy Johnson taking a physical at the club. I know Fulham gives in-depth physicals and all, but three days worth? The longer this drags out the less confident I feel this will finally get done. All sources seem to say the signing is imminent, but I would just like to get this wrapped up ASAP.

    we're all living a mini-series episode cliff-hanger. Will he? Won't he? Is Johnson a feint to distract everyone from our REAL target Gomez? Is Gomez being talked about to goad Johnson's agent into agreeing to a sensible wage scale? Who shot JR anyway?

    Somebody kick a ball, for goodness sake.

    btw the rumor is that Al Fayed's physician examined Johnson and discovered a knee issue. Seems like a ploy to lower the price?

    It's probably a legitimate claim. AJ's had some fairly substantial injuries in the past and if Fulham is shelling out 12 million quid for his services they should be sure that he won't break down during the season.

    Just saw on television that Antii Niemi is undergoing more surgery on his bad wrist. Guess he ISN'T going anywhere, at least not during this transfer window.
