Once with each leg. Might be worth the risk considering he's played a full season with Marseille. But the issue there is that if it happens again, then he's probably done and you're out the £6-8 million invested in him.

This is a tough roll of the dice for a club that doesn't have a great margin for error.

Sky is now reporting that Fulham has made an improved offer for Stoor.

Much rather have Finnan than Stoor. At least Finnan is proven at this level.

    Kitson is crap.

M'Penza is alright, but nothing special.

And I saw that Harry Kewell is available on a free. Definite must for us as we're short on the left-side.

Fulham needs another defender to be able to break top 10 next year. I'm still waiting for the big summer signing.

I agree, only I think they need another defender to break the top 15. Small steps. :)

I think it'd be fantastic if Finnan was able to wear white. I don't know how realistic it is, though.

Well top 15 is a good goal but why not dream big? Ok when I looked and saw there were 666 posts I just had to change that...... Just kidding but i thought it was pretty funny.

You can't have Finnan if Finnan doesn't wish to leave. Stoor strikes me as someone who will come in and add to the stability and strength of the Fulham defense.

Kewell is spent and hasn't had that much of an impact since he left Leeds.

By the numbers and the performance for a team lacking a quality midfield, Kitson is anything but crap. At £2.5-3 million, you would be hard-pressed to find a better bargain for a proven commodity at this level.

Stoor looked good in Euro 2008. Whether that translates to Club play is another issue, but....

Aparently, we've already bid for Stoor. I would love Finnan though. A quality defender with experience would do.

He wouldn't replace McBride, but he would be good and something different.

Liverpool has 4 rb's or so, odds are one of them wants to leave.

Kewell also probably just needed something different. If you have watched him play for Australia and Liverpool(When he has played), you'd see that he has some left in the tank.

Proven? This is alot of your guys' problem, you go by the numbers. You see them play once or twice and see their stats and say "well he looks decent". I watched him play a number of times for the last 2 seasons and saw him play in the championship as well. Your gonna get somebody that works hard is good in the air and adds nothing else. We already have Nevland, we don't need another player like that. Screw Kitson. He's not that good.

You want a replacement for Mcbride? Go after Negredo or Zigic or whatever. Kitson is not fit to carry Mcbride water bottle.

Zigic is great; what makes you think he A) is available, and B) could come at a price that fits within the way Hodgson wants to allocate his transfer budget (bearing in mind that Valencia paid 15 million Euros for him just a year ago and would likely want to recoup a large portion of it if they sold him), and C) wants to leave a club that's playing in the UEFA Cup to come to a club that barely escaped relegation after passing on the opportunity to go to Portsmouth in January?

    Early Sunday morning BBC rumors:

Liverpool are willing to offer Irish defender Steve Finnan as well as £15m plus add-ons to secure Gareth Barry from Aston Villa. (News of the World)

Sunderland want £10m Everton striker Andrew Johnson after failing in an attempt to sign Darren Bent from Tottenham. (The People)

But Black Cats boss Roy keane has been told he will need to offer £12m for the striker after both they and Wigan had £10m bids rejected by Everton. (News of the World) - Fulham apparently offered just £5m

That's quite a throw-in from Liverpool, especially bearing in mind that Villa sold Mellberg this summer and are, at this point, without a natural right back.

That would seem to put the lid on Johnson for Fulham. Kitson would make more sense at 3M than Johnson at 12M. He is not that good, from what I recall of his skills.
