I don't know what I expected to happen at the end. When that final whistle blew, I just held my face in my hands and cried for a bit. I don't know why. I guess this season has just been EXTREMELY emotionally up and down.

God Bless the boys, and now to build on this momentum and light the table up next season.

    I repeat ... I love this club.

I've been all over the league's message boards, and the rumors are flying that with Man City picking up a red card and a yellow today, some poor treatment of the refs, as well as some crowd problems, Man City may well have just handed their "Fair Play" position in Europe to Fulham!

Saved from relegation and sent to European football on the same day??? Has that ever happened in the history of the game???

COYWs is right...Fulham FTW and a stay in the Premiership!

In Atlanta, we tried our darndest to keep from hearing the score and watch the tape-delay but so many of the Brewhouse patrons (ManU and Arsenal fans alike...except a few wankers who wanted to get in our post-game celebration and point to the ManU logo on their jersey) kept walking up to us and saying things like "I'm glad Fulham's staying" or "What a great escape!" That made watching the game a bit anti-climactic but we'll take the win.

Yes. Dunne's red and Jihai's yellow card would put us a point ahead of Man City in the fair play league, mooting whatever difference in rating between us and them for positive play, respect towards officials, etc. Those would probably swing in our favor anyway based on what I heard about the Boro-Man City match. I do not think we will learn for certain until Wednesday morning but it does seems likely to me, Fulham are back in Europe.

    OHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOY!!!!!! BEST BIRTHDAY WEEKEND EVERRRRR!!!!!!!

I tried to avoid all contact with the footie world today so I could watch the game as the action unfolded. Spent the past week with my stomach in knots. Walked into the Brewhouse with my lucky FulhamUSA shirt, my Pope John Paul II rosary, and my hooligan scarf. As soon as I sat down..."Well, at least you know you're safe!" (damn ManUre fans!!!)

DAMN!! DAMN!! DAMN!!! I shoulda gone right to the chatroom!

Words can't describe how happy I am! And to all you Dirty Whites...thanks for keeping the faith all season! See you next year...WOOOOHOOOOO!!!

    FULHAM ALWAYS FIGHTS!!!!!!

Well, I had to split right after the final whistle to get to church. Services had already started when I walked in. Kathy, from The Tim and Bob Show, is in the choir. When she saw me in my McBride Pipex shirt, she gave me the "so?" gesture. Very calmly, I did a quick thumbs up, sat down and joined in the hymn.

As one of the many who thought we were dead long ago -- and one of the few who said that in a match report -- it pleases me no end to say I was wrong. I KNEW we were going to stay up after last Saturday, but I was afraid to say anything out loud for fear of bolloxing it. Here's what I figured ... we'd lose to Pompey, Derby would smack Reading around, and finally, Blackburn would kick serious Brummie ass.

This is why I don't make my living prognosticating.

Looking forward to another endless summer thread on off-season transfers; waiting for the pre-season friendly schedule. Wondering whether Brian's last match at the Cottage included our winner against Birmingham. Rooting for Polska in Euro 2008. All good stuff.

I love everyone associated with this club and with this site. Life IS Good. We Are Staying Up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terri if you just lived in a lame town like Cleveland there would be no Manure fans to ruin it for ya. We at least got that going for us here in the mistake on the lake.

Happy Bday to you and Happy Mothers Day to me. We both got what we wanted. This was the first time I have ever asked for anything on mothers day and I got it. It pays to pace yourself when it comes to prayers, requests, etc. Way to go FULHAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
